valve lash question

Jake Robbins
I've been setting my valves on a solid cam/roller rockers, the same
on the intake and exaust @ .022, it's my understanding the engine
will perform better with a .002 difference, question is, which should be
tighter? intake or exuast? used to know but forgot, thanks in advance

Since the exhaust valves get hotter they expand more, and therefore require a little larger gap.

Hope this helps and good luck, Mike

Also...that helps the motor run a little cooler..read an aticle on that..couple of months ago..ill try to find it..and post little more info.

thanks, racin 90,,,thats good info, my car has always ran a tadd warmer

@ .022 ex. and .020 in. let you know in a couple weeks how it does,
taking this week off as bad as I hate to,,,,,family Reunion.
