Race fans will have the opportunity to not only see some of the best dirt Late Model racing the country has to offer on September 18 at Virginia Motor Speedway when the MACS and World of Outlaws Late Model Series invade Bill Sawyer’s plush and state-of-the-art facility, but they will also have a shot at walking out of the gates with not one, but two chances at taking $25,000 home in addition to a $5,000 hot tub. The ‘35th Annual Fall Classic’ at Virginia Motor Speedway is Round #4 of the BB&T Challenge Series paying $10,000 to-win from the $50,000 purse. In related news, MACS will now join the WoO LMS in co-sanctioning a September 17 event at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, PA the night before the Virginia Motor Speedway ‘35th Annual Fall Classic’.

“Two lucky fans will have a chance at winning $25,000 during the BB&T Super Late Model dirt Challenge 50 lap main event,” explained Dave Seay, Public Relations Director and Director of Sales & Marketing at VMS. “We are fortunate to have a great sponsor in Switchme.net that has offered the chance to win $25,000 every week and that will continue on September 18th. Also, DirtAmericaOnline.com is sponsoring the $25,000 FANtastic Challenge! In both cases one lucky fan will draw for two drivers and if those two drivers finish first and second they win the big money. We have come very close several times this year in giving that money away, it has come down to six feet at the line, and several times the contestant has had both driver in the top five, so we are hoping that we send someone home $25,000 richer that night.”

“Not only will we have two contests for a chance to win $25,000, someone will win a five person hot tub courtesy of River Pools and Spas valued at $5000. We will draw 24 names and each person will draw a pill to determine which driver will be their chance at the hot tub. The contestant with the winning driver will win the hot tub.”

Seay is also anxious and excited about Round #4 of the BB&T Challenge Series spotlighting two well-known sanctioning bodies. Seay assures that race fans will see an exciting night of action.

“After the last MACS race I can only imagine what type of race the fans will get to see,” commented Seay. “The MACS competitors put on the best races ever held here at the speedway with two and three wide with passing all over the place. Add in the fact that now you have the ‘Dirty Dozen’, Tim McCreadie and a few more regional hotshoes racing with the MACS guys this is going to be a must see event.”

“We do not want to forget our locals, we have some very strong talent here and they all have a legitimate shot at picking up the $10,000 win. Drivers like Booper Bare, Chuck Finch, Kenny Pettyjohn and Louie Littlepage will all be leading the charge for our local contingent. Don't be surprised to see one of them in victory lane because I won't be if they do.”

“I also can't forget about the three drivers that have a chance to win an additional $10,000 by winning Round #4 of the BB&T Super Late Model Challenge. Jeremy Miller, Steve Lucas and Davey Johnson, winners of the first three rounds respectively and all have an additional opportunity to collect a $10,000 bonus should any of them pull off the victory in the finale, making it a $20,000 payday.”

“As for the track itself we are pulling out all the stops and the fans will see an awesome show. Expect the track to be wide and very fast!”

On Saturday September 18 at VMS competitor gates will open at 3:00 PM with spectator gates opening at 4:00 PM. Hotlaps will start at 6:15 with heats, dash and B Mains and feature to follow. VMS’ Budweiser Modifieds will be in action as well and they will set their "A" Main with Hot Lap Qualifying. Adult ticket prices are $25, Children 7 - 12 are $10 and Children 6 and under free. Pit Passes for the event will be $30.
