After a year on the road following the World of Outlaw Late Model Series (WoO LMS) during the 2004 racing season Tim McCreadie came ever-so-close to winning on several occasions but just couldn’t get it done. That’s all out of the way though as the popular Watertown, NY star scored his career-first WoO LMS feature win Saturday evening February 19 when he took top honors at the WoO LMS grand finale for Volusia County Speedway Park’s Raceweek. McCreadie, who spent the past two weeks in Florida competing with the Lucas Oil NARA Dirt Car Series, United Midwestern Promoters (UMP and the WoO LMS, nailed down four feature wins during the two week marathon aboard the Carl & Ann Myers owned Sweetner’s Plus Rocket Chassis/ C.C. Performance Engine #39 and was fueled to the winner’s circle by VP Racing Fuels, Inc.

“You just try not to make any mistakes because the last thing you want to do is start over-driving the car and end up dropping back after we were lucky enough to get up front all night,” said McCreadie. “For my car owners, they had hardly seen me run in one of these. When I won one of the races here last year they weren’t at it so it’s nice to get a win for Ann and Carl Myers.”

“We’re happy to be a part of the VP Racing Team and we’re looking forward to improving our relationship with them for years to come and we’re very happy with their products and looking for more success down the road.”

On Thursday night during the WoO LMS season opener McCreadie scored a ninth in the main event. On Friday Volusia held the UMP finale for the week with McCreadie scoring a strong second place finish in the feature.

After Billy Moyer, winner of the Outlaws season-opening event Thursday night, grabbed the lead at the drop of the green flag Saturday night for the WoO LMS finale, McCreadie surged to the front on lap two and led the rest of the way in the 50-lap feature.

“It was a lot of fun,” stated McCreadie. “We were close a couple times last year and just didn’t have any luck. We didn’t know if we would get one. We dropped out, we crashed one night leading and then went off the track leading. This year we had a little bit more luck this week and led every lap and had a leally good run.”
