we can fix tire cheating

Kind of interesting that they tested tires from the top 3 finishers and found 15% of the tires had been treated. At first glance, that doesn't sound like much. I just wonder whether they only took one tire from the car or all 4 for testing. If it was just one tire from each car, and they chose the corner of the car that would offer the most gain in performance from it, then it really doesn't look like a major percentage are cheating.

But if they took all 4 from each car and tested all 4, you can probably eliminate 50% of the tires simply because no one is going to treat a tire and risk getting DQed and all that if isn't going to really give them a clear performance advantage. Now that number starts looking like rather than being the exception, it's probably very common.

I'd like to know more about how they picked which tires to test and whether or not they took all 4 or just one, and if just one, which one and was it always the same corner, and if all 4, did they keep track of which corner it was on and which corner showed up positive more often.

They just take a sample of the tire and not of all 4!!!!! Prob is sooner or later they catch it but then the chemist come out with something new!!!

UMP doesn't want to police this! It costs them money. They really don't give a rats ass whether racing is fair or not. Proof of that lies in the fact that they have let their "friends" get away with cheating tires. When caught they don't do anything but slap their wrist. Until you racers speak up and demand tech improvement this will continue. We all know people who are cheating. Maybe we should list them on this post to help the process? That would stop this shit real fast!
