Pevely, MO – October 15, 2009 – Inclement weather has forced officials to move the second annual “DIRTcar Roundup: Party in Pevely” to March 25-27, 2010.

An event built on the ideals of late UMP DIRTcar founder Bob Memmer, the Party in Pevely provides an opportunity for the stars in UMP DIRTcar Racing's eight weekly divisions to show their stuff against rivals from various regions.
“The Party in Pevely should be a party, but with the rain that keeps falling as fast as the temperatures are dropping and as the cold wind blows out of the north it's just not going to be a whole lot of fun for anybody,” said I-55 Raceway promoter Ray Marler. “The best thing to do is reset the weekend for March knowing the conditions should be much for favorable for the Party in Pevely.”

The Party in Pevely will now serve as the first blockbuster event in UMP DIRTcar Racing's 2010 Midwestern schedule. Defending champions Brian Shirley of Chatham, Ill. (Super Late Models), Bobby Bittle of Belleville, Ill. (Modifieds) Bobby Dauderman of Alhambra, Ill. (Pro Late Models), Troy Naeger of Festus, Mo. (Sportsman), Ken Rumble of Grenade, Mo. (Limited Modifieds), Steve Maisel of House Springs, Mo. (Stock Cars), Danny Ems of Arnold, Mo. (Factory Stocks) and Jason Crump of Festus, Mo. (Sport Compacts) will have a chance to defend their crowns from March 25-27, 2010.

The schedule of events will remain the same on the new dates, with an open practice kicking the weekend off at 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 25. On Friday, March 26, qualifying racing will get the green flag at 7 p.m. with live music in the ‘Roundup Tent' following the evening's final checkered flag. The program on Saturday, March 27, begins in the afternoon with a charity Wienie Roast at 3 p.m. followed by racing at 6 p.m.
