Weber BIG winner in $2,000 Modified Event at Clarksville StormPay.com Speedway

Scott Weber claimed the $2,000 UMP Open Wheel Modified A-Main victory last Saturday night May 13 at the Clarksville StormPay.com Speedway in front of a packed house. Rusty Griffaw of Missouri took the UMP Super Late Model A-Main win over Tony Albright of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Jarryd Holshouser of Hollybush, Kentucky.

A total of 126 race-cars for the seven classes took to the track during the night’s action. The Mother’s Day weekend special event drew cars from several states and Mothers were treated to a special gift in the Grandstands as each mother received a flower, compliments of Four Seasons Florist and the track staff. Although the cool weather seemed to stray, the action on the track was fast and furious with two and three wide racing all night long in front of a excellent crowd Saturday Night.

20 Super Late Models took to the track in Time Trials and Rusty Griffaw took fast time with a 13:853 seconds. The Dash Winner was Griffaw and Heat wins went to Matthew Potter and Gary Johnson.

The $2,000 to win UMP Open Wheel Modified event drew 28 entries to the Speedway with Matt Mevert taking Fast Time in Time Trials with a 14:343 second lap. The Dash was won by Denny Schwartz with Heat Race wins going to Anthony Garber, Scott Weber, and Charles Zimmerman. The B-Main was won by Joeseph Menser.
UMP Open Wheel Modified A-Main Finish:

The Mini Sprint A-Main was won by Race Neeley over Byron Reuelette, and Eric Clavert.

The Pro-Street A-Main was captured by Charles Zimmerman driving the # 31 race-car taking the win over Joeseph Hamm, and John Maines. Zimmerman also took Fat Time of the night in Time Trials with a 14:861 second lap.

The Street Stock A-Main event was won by Mike Neighbors of Hopkinsville, Kentucky taking the $1,000 win over Joeseph Hamm, and Larry Barber Jr..

The Mini-Modified A-Main event saw Micah Smith of Erin, Tennessee take the win in the # 89 race-car over Ronnie Richardson, and David Shephard.

The Pure-Mini A-Main event saw Michael Rittenberry take the win over Chad Hembree, and Thomas Clinard Jr. rounding out the third spot.

This Tuesday Night May 16, the Clarksville StormPay.com Speedway will feature a special event for the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series Crate Late Model division. A $1,000 to win Crate Late Model event will take place this Tuesday with Gates opening at 5:30 p.m. and all other divisions may have an open practice. Just $5.00 General admission this Tuesday Night at Clarksville StormPay.com Speedway with pit passes being $25.00. This Saturday Night May 20 all divisions will be competing with a special salute to the Armed Forces with $6.00 general admission to the military personnel who show their official ID. Next Sunday May 21, a $2,000 to win Outlaw Mini Sprint A-Main event will be on the racing card with Open Wheel Modifieds, and Pure Mini’s. Pit Admission is only $25.00 for this special event and general grand-stand admission is $15.00 with Children 10 and under free. Gates Open at 4:00 p.m. with Hot Lapping at 5:30 p.m. and racing at 7:00 p.m.
