Looks to me like he may have caught a rut! I could be wrong though! I watched it like 3 times!

Jimmy,

While I was not there, some of my friends were. I talked to them last night at Dubuque (Deery Brothers race), and there is more to the story than just that video. After that crash, the series/track officials put the 19 car to the rear (rough driving), but he instead pulled into victory lane and voiced his displeasure. The officials interpretted it as an intentional move to get back at the 7 car for pushing him up the track at the other end of the track.

Totally a racing deal. You could see his car come unloaded when the rear end came off the track because of the rut.

Looked to be a racin deal, nothing intentional far as I could tell. But I imagine he got thrown out because of his actions after he pulled in to victory lane and voiced his opinions. Them officials are funny like that ! :)

Looked like he hooked a rut when he bounced it off the cushion. You could tell in previous laps it was a bit rough up top.

I watched it live online on my 43" HDTV tv. I felt it was intentional. He may have cought a rut But he sure as hell didn't back off. That 7 car was fast all night, Gustin seemed awful arrogant about it all. I can see why they penalized him. But that's just my opinion.
