WELLER CONDITION UPDATE
Eighteen-year-old Jimmy Weller, who was critically injured in a heat race
accident during Wednesday night's USAC Valvoline National Sprint Car race
at The Dirt Track @ Lowe's Motor Speedway, suffered severe head trauma, but
the hemorrhaging is dissipating and the swelling is decreasing. He is also
moving his limbs and is responding, but remains sedated. He also has two
hairline vertebrae fractures, but they will not require surgery.
