(Batesville, AR) Wendell Wallace Autosports competed in last weekend’s “Cabin Fever 100” at the Atomic Motor Speedway in Knoxville, TN. The unsanctioned event, which was held Sunday afternoon, paid $10,000 to the winner. Wendell started out the preliminary action on Saturday by finishing third in his heat race, which put him in the twelfth starting position on the feature grid on Sunday. Racing on a track that was very hard to pass on due to the afternoon start, Wendell was able to pass five cars and finish in the seventh position.

This weekend will be a challenge for Wendell, as he steps out of his #88 MSE Distributing / J&J Steel GRT Ford Taurus and gets into a modified that is owned by Dan Leatherman. Wendell will be competing in the $8,000 to win event at Batesville Speedway located outside of Batesville, AR. He was scheduled to compete in the MLRA opener at Mid-America Speedway in South Coffeyville, OK this weekend, but had to jump at the chance of driving a modified at his home track in Batesville.
