(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Wendell Wallace Autosports claimed back-to-back MARS Series victories this past weekend, as they took the checkers at both the Friday event at Bolivar Speedway in Bolivar, MO and at I-44 Speedway in Lebanon, MO the following night. Both wins were worth $3,000 to the team.

At Bolivar, Wendell started fourth in his MSE Distributing / J&J Steel #88 GRT / Keith Craft Ford Taurus and was at the point by lap five. Wendell got caught up in lapped traffic in the middle stages of the 40 lapper, but was able to pull away after he cleared lapped traffic. He would lead laps 5-40 to pick up his second MARS win of the season.

The following night at I-44, Wendell would start a little deeper in the field, but the story was still the same. Following a third place finish in his heat, Wendell would roll off the grid in the eighth spot and would find the point at lap 15. From there, Wendell would fight Bill Frye for the win. Frye took the lead back from Wendell on lap 29, but Wendell fought back to retake the lead for good on lap 35. Wendell drove the last several laps with a deflating tire, but the tire kept air just long enough to cross the checkers.

This weekend will take Wendell and his team to Crossville Speedway USA in Crossville, TN on Friday night for a $7,500 to win unsanctioned event. The team will then head to nearby Atomic Motor Speedway in Knoxville, TN for an Xtreme DirtCar Series show. The two-day event at Atomic will pay $20,000 to the winner and will be taped by the SPEED Channel. You can also listen to the event at Atomic live on the Internet by visiting www.xtremedirtcars.com.
