Were there any changes in Doe Run's mini stock rules

I don't know if you could get a drill in there to drill it with the motor in the truck. But I have all winter and it wont take but maybe 3 hours to pull the thing, put the plug in and drop it back in. It will give me something to do in the garage one cold winter day.

Hey Bill

If ya get that bored, come on down to my shop, I got 4 race vehicles i am working on. Got one right up your alley, an S-10 that I am helping out with, 1 Pinto, 1 Mustang, and 1 modified. Let me know, I will put ya to work.

Shoot..my s-10 is lucky I still have it....i'm biting at the bit for this 305 class to get going...i was leaning that way and my dad is pushing me to do it, but think i'm going to wait a year and make sure it gets off the ground.

I understand rules are rules but it just stinks I have to pull the motor just to put a 1/2 inch hole in the pan. That is alot of work for a 1/2 inch hole. what is the hardness on a "D" emod tire?

just to claify

we can run rear weightjacks, but we must also use original rear suspension-no coil springs on factory leaf vehicles-and don't forget we must have a way of checking clutches with scope-most have plenty of room through the clutch fork opening-as for the pan inspection plug, take the time to pull the pan off and do it the right way-or just glue one on like we used to:D

so do they mean no weight jacks on our pinto's and MII'S..... or does it mean yes but you still have to have leafs under the car..(in other words not changing a leaf car to a coil car) ... please clarify;)

Yeah...what shannon said about original suspension...i'm guessing a rear coil car can run them and not leaf...but heck I dont know...if you got them call bobby...

Emod D's that I have were anywhere from a 48 to a 56...the decent ones that is.

And Duck on the 1/2" hole.....just get r dun so we can race next year...I just hope if you put a hole there that they use it. Last time we put that big ol 2" hole in and they were never used....

Smurf and Bil... You CAN run WJ on a car that has leafs.. You have to put it in on the top of the shackle mount. IT a trick as old a racing itself.

Ya same as always at DRR. The 1/2 " plug for the 2.3 motors will be on the passenger/header side of motor between the 1st and 2nd oil pan bolt holes counting holes on block /not timing cover . Another way to visual the location is directly below #1 exhaust port and place center of plug 1 1/2" below pan rail. I will try to get the spot for the 2.5s Saturday.....
