Wes Steidinger wins Farmer City Raceway and Tops Late Model Point Standings

Fairbury, Illinois) After only two weeks of racing at Farmer City Raceway, Fairbury, Illinois native Wes Steidinger leads the points. Wes picked up not only Fast Time, a heat race win, but the A-Main win Friday night at Farmer City Raceway. He qualified well in time trials with a time of 12.783 and later went on to win his heat race over BJ McCammon, Mike Petersak, Jason Feger and Steve Sheppard Jr. The A-Main saw Wes start on the pole, where the “Fairbury Flyer” picked up his first win of the 2008 season over Ryan Unzicker, Matt Taylor, BJ McCammon and Kyle Logue. After sweeping the night, Wes moved into First place in UMP Late Model Points at Farmer City Raceway.

Friday night was the only night WSR got to race as Mother Nature show a ruling fist the rest of the weekend.

Wes and the WSR team has a jam-packed weekend coming up as they will head south on Friday night April 18th to Pontoon Beach, Illinois, home of Tri-City Speedway where they will race for $3,000 purse as the M.A.R.S / UMP DIRTCar Late Models invade the speedway. Saturday the team will travel back north as they race in the $4,000 to win unsanctioned, “Don Bohlander Memorial” at Peoria Speedway, in Peoria, Illinois. Team WSR will wrap things up on Sunday as they make way to Quad City Raceway for the $5,000 to win WDRL Late Model show.
