What happen to Dixon?

It started with a loose gas cap which made him spin out. You could see the fluid flying out(a mist in the air) at the beginning of the feature.

What makes him smoke in the turns once in a while? :confused: You don't see that with other cars. I saw it in the hotlaps and the heat.
 
Hey Sideshowbob can you not read it was the right rear shock!!!!!!!!!! That had NOTHING to do with the motor. You should read the post just a little bit more next time man.........
 
a bladder in a right rear shock gave out from the track conditions and he spun do to contact with an unnamed driver running for 6th and the motor was smoking for it is time to be freshened up oil was getting past the rings it has been pulled and delivered to jay dickens.we will see you back at pevely in two weeks thank you!!!!
 
Thought that was a Dickens. Announcer with MARS said it was Baker.

And did any of Dixon's problems in the feature come from the previous contact in the heat race?
 
it is a jay dickens motor the announcer prolly made a mistake since ed was with baker about twenty years...and the contact in the heat shouldn't have caused any problems but you never know!!!either way he got spun out in the feature....
 
Since he just got it a couple weeks ago, I take it it was a used Dickens.

Great to see Ed running like he use to. Keep running like that and he will win at pevely also.

good luck to the whole dixon crew......not to change the subject but does he have 2 cars (a crate and a super) or does he just change motors? Also how often are you supposed to refresh the motors in a super? What kind of chassis is he on as well?

Racing4fun maybe you should read a little bit more !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As it is also motor smoke it don't take a rocket scientist to see the smoke and for your info I don't have anything against ed at all as my family knows him quit well .
The motor was using oil I say maybe 3 qts to 4 qts per feature run as I don't think a shock has anything to do with using oil . you should be able to tell the difference in the kind of smoke

your answer for what happened to Dixon at pevely was at 2:58pm then the ? from Dixon fan so I thought he was asking a different ?

SO if you must be so rude as to jump on somebody it was the motor also so next time maybe you should think before you jump so fast .

sorry I was not trying to get you in a tiff. He was smoking at Belleville the night before . dirtwizard this was not meant to be a bash on Ed by all means I was just stating when a motor gets to many nights on them they smoke . Good Luck ED DIXON and CREW
 
i was sitting in turn three when dixon was "spun out" i saw the whole thing and nobody ever touched him. also spilling fuel would not make him spin out, if anything it would make the cars running right behind him spin.
