What tracks are running B Mods?

Looks like Callaway will be the place to go this year. I think Lake picked up b mods this year too. But thats to far to drive. Hoping Tri City will pick them up BUTT!!!!!!

Tri-City already had their rules meeting and so on. The 5 classes will remain the same at Tri-City.

LOS! Im not driving to the lake for $25.00 pay out. with the rules it's a mods with 2 bbl we are a budget race team and we dont have a deep pocket, that one will need to keep up, so much for the B Mods this year or the (unlimmited outlaw modifieds). What a joke realy miss MCS. B Mod for sale $3600.00 takes all. buffster8@aol.com

Sorry dude, but the rules at the lake are way better than than Callaway. Not to offend you, but it cost money to run up front in anyclass. And how do you know what the payout is anyway? They have not decided a payout.

I know it takes money but if I rember right this class was to help drivers to get into racing at low cost. Now its A mod cars with $10,000.00 motors and 2 bbl. Come on, we run 3 seasons at MCS never won but we could afford to build a car with those rules, now no way. And for pay out if you start the feature you got your pit money back thats the 25.00, I cant see it being more than $200.00 to $300.00 to WIN! berts, brinns, 500 to 600 hp engines where is the buget?

You run MCS and the only different thing in rules are bert brinn, but we have to add weight. Beside do you really think a bert is really going to help that much? I mean come on get real. They will only make a 10th place car a 9th place car. You have a to run a gauge legal 2-barrel carb. Well most of the guys that ran MCS and Some guys that run Callaway will be at the lake. If you were so worried about it you should have came to the Rules meeting, there were guys from you area there and were more that happy with the rules.

If it dont make a diffrance why use them. Why drive to jefferson city to try change somthing you cant, its all fixed. What wrong with UMP rules? All the other classes run them BUT the B Mods BUDGET BUDGET BUDGET Brin $1000.00 Birt $1000.00 new come on let a driver get his feet wet then he can move up to the A's. Some of the A's cant afford to run with the A's so thay go to the B mods $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ O well I hope the best for all drivers this year. How much you have in your car? And how many drivers came down from this area 2 or 3. Most of the other drivers live down that way. We would love to run LOS just cant afford to now.

2010 B-MODIFIED RULES:

1 - 2500lbs after race w/driver
2550lbs after race w/driver with Bert or Brinn Transmission
2300lbs after race w/driver with 602 GM Crate Motor
2350lbs after race w/driver with 602 GM Crate Motor with Bert or
Brinn Transmission

2- Gauge Legal Holley 500 2-Barrel---NO Aerosals!

3- Fuel will be GAS Only! No Nitrous or Fuel Additives Allowed

4- Tires- Hoosier E-Mod 26.5 or 27.5 “A or H” Compound or Hoosier
IMCA ONLY!
Siping will be Allowed. NO Softening or Chemical Altering Allowed!

5- NO Quickchange Rearends

6- Engines- Cast Iron Block & Heads ONLY! No Aluminum Blocks or
Heads Allowed!!

7- NO Roller Camshafts or Rev-Kits will be Allowed

8 - A 5” Rear Spoiler will be Allowed

9 - ALL OTHER BODY & CHASSIS RULES WILL BE THE SAME AS THE
BASIC UMP A-MOD RULES!

With the difference in the weight the rules are really equal!

I would bet that if you ran your car with a 3 speed and then again with a Bert or Brinn with more weight you would not be able to tell the difference if nobody told which one was what.

Thanks, Kevin

LOS practically has the exact same rules as MCS and who really thinks a bert is going to help them that much?? Your very first post said Callaway would be the place to run this year, and they are the only place that has wide open rules! MCS never had a check on engine size either. I dont understand why you are sour over the same rules that you loved at MCS. Judging from other posts it seems that RBI has a grudge against LOS.

Callaway is the closest track to us that's why I said that. LOS is 2 1/2 hr away and I don't have anything against LOS or Kevin, WHAT I was really hoping to see was UMP rules and points for our class. We would have made the trip if that would happen but it didn't so we will run mostly at callaway. And try to make at least a few showings at LOS. We love racing up front or in the back of the pack it's all fun to us untill it get to expensive thats all sorry to get every one upset

Kevin, Lake Ozark speedway I apologize if I offended you.
And thanks for picking up the B Mods

b mod tracks

doe run and farmington are both running b mods this year friday and saturday nights both tracks run the same rules .checkout the rules on doe run web sight same rules that mcs ran. thanks and come on down.:)

No Quickchanges?? No Aluminum heads?? But kevin, how am I going to be able to run my A-mod in your B-mod class? Oh well, I guess I will just have to stick with the A-mod class. RBI, this is the best set of rules I have seen for the B-mod class. They made a set of rules that will pretty much allow any b-mod in this area be legal to race at LOS. I am sure a lot of thought and planning went into this decision. And by the way, if you don't make the feature at LOS, you still get your entry fee for the following week. Did MCS do that??

Saying what MCS did isn't much of an argument. If they did it so well there why are they closed up?

BTW...... 4 cyl's and pure stock-street stocks type cars are to get guys into racing at lower cost not any type of modified. B mods should be a tweener or stepping stone to A mods from a sportsman type car. Not a bigger class. jmo

I dont understand your beef.what are you gaining by a ump santion besides a name??the ump sanction doesnt make the racing any better. The rules kevin has set forth are actually better then your so beloved MCS because the cars with saginaws and crate motors get to weigh less. The gauge legal carb Rule will also choke the big motors down, which i have and im not complaining. With the rules kevin used, anyone can win, dont care what ya got under the hood!!

Talk about bashing all you Ill boys only have bad things to say about MCS, we all love our local tracks, and I will always be true to Mel he was great to us now for his dad thats a nother storie and yes we did get our $25 back every night

A b-mod class with unlimited c.i. and berts is nothing more than an a mod on a tight budget. As far as added weight making it even, forget it, if you know what your doing the added weight will be a plus not a negative.
