What would you do?

I had placed some used shocks for sale on the internet. A guy requests photos of the shocks....so I sent a photo of each one plus all of them as a whole to him. He make me an offer & I agree to accept & I pay shipping. I ship them to him & now he says they aren't what he thought and are "scratched up". Nothing on the shocks affected the inside integrity of the shocks at all & he agreed. So I told him to send them back & I would refund his money...which I feel is only fair if he is not happy. Now he says that he wants me to pay return shipping & the cost of the money gram he sent. I told him I would send him the dollar amount on the shocks back but not pay shipping. Is this fair?

Anybody been in the same spot? I feel like most ppl would tell him to shove it and go on.

That's the fair thing to do.
The only way I ever refund money after sending photos is if the buyer pays return shipping and then only if they are what I sent him to begin with.
I wouldn't refund his cost of sending the money either.

THANX RICH

People say I'm getting crankier as I get older. That's not it. I just find I enjoy annoying people a lot more now. Especially younger people!!!

Wow, you agreed to take them back, and refund his money?

I would've told him to shove off, he had pictures of the product, and if he wanted shocks for a show car, then buy new.

You are being more than fair.

If you sent him pictures and the pictures showed exactly what he was getting, then I would say tough luck. With all this shipping back and forth and all, now you have to make sure he doesn't pull an ol' switch-a-roo on you. Make sure you kep his address in case you have to pay him a visit if they aren't in the same working order as you sent them. Good Luck!!
