What's up with Mt Vernon ?

Good point zooman, but whats the difference between the streetstock and bomber classes and running Steel block and regular late models?

2 of a kind is still a poor excuse not to run them. when you have 2 late model classes.

as far as cheating, I raced my street stock there for years and don't recall anyone complaining.

I agree that it seems similar to the late models/ steel block issue, and I am not opposed to the two classes running. However, I think you have two problems. First is that under Mt. Vernon rules, the bombers are so close to street stocks that it hardly seems that different. I think they need to make the bombers a pure stock class instead of the hybrid that they now have and then the two will not be so similar. The second problem is that now they have added the hornet class, they need to watch the time constraints. As for cheating allegations, I am basing that on all the internet chat on this and the old Mt. Vernon chat room. You could not go a day without someone complaining.

Why not just allow the bombers to run manuel trannys, with a 3 link rear so some of the street stock guys could run with them. I know it is a bomber class but my opinion is a true bomber shouldn't run emods and a beadlock wheel.

why not

why not make the bomber class a true bomber class again? i mean its supposed to be a class where guys can break into racing and learn at some sort of affordablity the way it is now at mtvernon you almost have to have a modified class pocket book to be competitive I know rick has modified the rules for bomber guys because of there request and i applaud him fir that, but if these guys have that much money th buy this expensive equipment they need to move up in class not move the class up. bring it back down to earth , and i believe you will see the bomber class have a big car count just like it did when the class was new i rember count of 40 to 50 cars a few years back now they have a average of about 20 to 25. and only a select few 2 or 3 have the equipment to win. so give the class back to the guy who does it for fun and hobbie and not for blood and money.

I didn't mean anything by it, i was just asking. It really is a good class for the entry level racer.

The street stocks I have seen run this last year, looked more like Steel Block late models . It would take away from the people who cant afford to put that much money into a car. I think Rick needs to keep the bomber class similiar to what it already is, affordable!
