What a joke! No Racing last night and then $50.00 for a pit pass today. I will not pay $50.00 for a pit pass. Get your act together guys! Will not be back!

What were you expecting to pay at a $30,000 to win race?

Wheatland is not the only track in MO to race at, go somewhere else and quit crying about it.

it was supposed to be $25 each day. they rained out yesterday so they're trying to get their purse money somehow...

Thats real nice of them to do that during these times. They should be lucky people are traveling to these big out of town races now days. Arent they gazillionaires? Theres a Lucas Oil Series in about every form of racing.

dam!!! Our track, ALWAYS $20 pit pass, grandstands are $10 on latemodel/special shows, $8 on normal night, 11 and under free...ALWAYS!!!!! For a specaial show like PowerI, Sprints, or another BIG show, they range from $25-$30... cant remember for sure. But the racing is second to none!!!!

$50 pit pass.... must be an Eldora show....:O

How 'bout Billy Moyer and Scott Bloomquist taking provisional starts and coming up to 3rd and 7th respectively.

Back to the original topic. I think it's bad PR on the tracks part to advertise $25 pit passes then charge $50. Regardless if there was a rainout or not. I know it's tough to lose money on rainouts, but sticking it to the little guy when they show up thinking it's going to be one price then doubling that isn't cool. True, there's other places to go watch racing. But Lucas Oil isn't called the Diamond for nothing. You'd think if they could drop that kind of money into a track they'd be able to stick to their word and charge the advertised price at the gate.

That's strange. They were only charging $25.00 when I got my pit pass. Wonder if they changed it sometime during the night. I bought mine about 5:30 p.m. I heard them tell several others $25.00 while I was standing there too.

the $50 pit pass WAS worth it, moyer and mcdowell unloaded their backup cars and started at the rear and big daddy dale passed 27 or 28 cars for a very impressive 2nd place run. i dont know better racing you could ask for, ill definately go back next year... i was upset to watch babb break on lap 7, which from my view looked like neat came up on babb coming out of turn 2

The track and the facility is impressive but the racing not so. I rather see modify heats then watch them qualify seeing that they just qualified 75 late models that was boring. I thought the grandstand prices were just fine. The only reason ill will be back is because its so close to pomme de terre lake.

The track and the facility is impressive but the racing not so.
Yeah I listened to the late model races on the internet last night and you're right... those races were pretty boring ... no passing,no battles for the lead.:rolleyes:
By the way,did anyone get stuck in that parking lot??

The word on 4m is Bloomquist missed his heat race due to illegal tires. I bet all the Bloomer fans were wanting their money back.

I have attended all 3 Diamond events in the last 3 years. As a spectator, I paid $10 for Fri night & $25 for Sat. night. Because Friday was canceled, they refunded my $10. The track was awesome but developed a big rut in 1 & 2. They spent 30-40 min re-working the track. The racing was awesome with passing throughout the field. I believe they changed the format to get the show done in one night. I was very satisfied with the show & I have already secured my reservations for the May 2010 show. What an awesome facility!

Pit passes were $25.00 on Saturday the same as the admission for an adult at the gate. Maybe someone made an error, but it was $25.00 as of 3:00PM when I got mine.

Racing was boring? Every heat had two cars battling for the lead. Theere seemed to be 2-3 cars fighting for the 3rd position. DID ANYONE SEE JIMMY OWENS COMEBACK? The Heats were awesome. The feature had a number of cars come from the back to take 3-5. Birkhoffer was on fire and that made 1st place a non issue.

The only complaint I heard was the race program not running Friday night. The good news is everyone saw a full program of time trials, heats, B-mains and the main feature for the Staurday Night Admission price of only $25.00. Not bad not bad. Awesome facility second to none in seating, vision, facilities a the big Jumbotron! Where else can you get a 2 pound funnel cake for $3.00?

I guess people were expecting Talladega like lead changes.Come people there were some cars that came from pretty far in the back to finish up front.

I bet if someone handed some of these people on here $1000 with no catches, they'd complain because it wasn't $1500.

Seriously - the racing was good. Even the rut at turns 1 &2 didn't stop the cars from passing each other.

If you paid out that $1500 in $50.00 bills, someone would say why not in $100 dollar bills?

Some people see the gas tank as half empty some see the gas tank at half full
