Hey guys, check out the Doe Run forum....Bill Nicholson
brought the #21 S-10 Pickup into the winners
circle last night @ Doe Run Raceway, picking up his 1st feature win
& finally shedding his nickname, "The Bridesmaid" given to him by
Rams VP Butch Hartmann..Way ta go Bill, looking forward to
seeing you, Mark, & especially Auntie Crystal, on Labor Day..

What a nice post, Bob.....just had to point out that it's NICKELSON not Nicholson. :p Man, Bill was still smiling when he left the track last night. I think my dad must have brought him the good luck he needed....Mark said he had to start coming every week. Dad agreed to that but said Bill needed to pay his way in. :D

Bill had alot of people cheering for him last night and it was AWESOME to see that #21 truck in the winner's circle. Mark was SUPER EXCITED, of course, as was the rest of the Nickelson family, friends, and fans. I too look forward to seeing you over the Labor Day weekend....it's been waaaaaayyyyyyy too long.

[/FONT][FONT=Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif]DOE RUN, MO--(August 18, 2006) After this past Friday night, Bill Nickelson of DeSoto, MO can no longer be called a bridesmaid, as he finally achieved what every racer dreams of when they start racing, the opportunity to carry the checkered flag after their first feature win.[/FONT]

At the drop of the green, Ray Statler jumped out in front and looked to be on his way to the winner's circle with Shannon Burch and Nickelson close behind. The stars and the planets were aligned in Nickelson's favor however and a near spin by Statler collected Burch, bringing out the caution flag and sending him to the back of the field . Nickelson lined up behind Statler on the restart and when the checkered flag waved, it was Nickelson across the line first, Statler second, Ronnie Moser third, Burch fourth and Steve Wright fifth.

Ronnie Moser won the first heat, Statler second and Chris Pettus third. Burch won the second heat, Nickelson second and CJ Wright third.​

I can't believe it!!! Bill won a feature race almost a week ago
& no one has called him a cheater....Has everyone forgotten
his win already....Heck, Jim Trendle only won 2 heat races
and he was labeled a cheater...I think he has 4 now, so you
can imagine the tongue waggin' goin' on:D :D I guess you will
have to win this Saturday Bill, if you want real recoginition:D

It could be because the only thing with the dreaded "F" word on Bill's truck is that Ford Blue paint.:D
