Where to buy a crate late model 604 motor?

You could do like a few of the guys are that are supposedly running 602 motors. Since they don't have all the markings like the 604 crate does, they take a good steel block, steel head motor and put the gm 602 intake, valve covers and some other pieces and just call it a 602.

I wouldn't bother buying a stock 604 to run around here in UMP land unless you plan on having a lot of work done to it. At the very least you will need to have it blueprinted to run the local tracks. Even then you will have to be on top of your game on setup to run near the front.

You see...this is UMP Pro Crate Late Models and ENGINE tech is virtually non-existent around here. They don't even require sealing bolts anymore so you are free to open it up and make it faster if you want!
