SITKA, KY--Current O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series points leader, Whitney McQueary of Dunnville, KY became the first repeat winner in 11 races this season as the 40 year driver took his second series win of the season at the 201 Speedway in Sitka, KY on Saturday Night, July 2. McQueary earned $3,000 for his win as he withstood a last lap ditch effort by Brandon Kinzer who tried to steal the win from him. McQueary drove the Bigg Dawg Motorsports/Doug Tarter/Kelco Metals Inc/Modern Systems/Tarter Tube Inc/Tarter Gate Company/American Farmland/Dog Walk Market/Estes Racing Engines/Rocket Chassis to victory lane over Kinzer who was driving the Kinzer Well Drilling/Gaerte Engines/Barry Wright Dodge Intrepid who came up just short again of winning his first ever BoB race. Defending series champion Aaron Hatton of Mt. Sterling, KY would finish third in the Jerry Hatton Used Cars/Draime Engines/C.J. Rayburn Monte Carlo. Completing the top five were Anthony Adams of Whitesburg, KY in the K& E Trucking/Cornett Engines/C. J. Rayburn Monte Carlo and 19th starting, Mike Jewell of Scottsburg, IN in the Southern Indiana Rock Drilling/Bullock Engines/MasterSbilt Grand Prix.

McQueary and Kinzer would make up the front row to start the 40 lap affair with McQueary jumping out to an early lead over Kinzer, Tyrel Todd, Tim Tungate and Anthony Adams. McQueary would quickly open up a four to five car length advantage over Kinzer as Todd and Tungate would go at it for third. A yellow on lap slowed the action momentarily. On the restart McQueary again sprinted out to the lead as he was looking to repeat his earlier success at 201 back in May where he won the biggest race of his career. Kinzer would maintain second in front of Tungate, Todd and Anthony Adams with 11 laps complete. A couple of cautions in a row would halt the momentum of the race as Todd and Tungate would get together on the front stretch with Todd ending up against the wall, however the caution was not for Todd because it was already waving for a slowed Shannon Thornsberry who was trying to get off the race track. Series rules allowed Todd to go back into his position behind Tungate. On the restart Tungate would slow coming off of turn number two and Todd would have no where to go and got up on the left side of Tungate's racer as both cars would be done for the race. With 15 laps scored McQueary was still the top dog with Kinzer still in second with Adams now up to third place. A car knifing through the field was Mike Jewell. Jewell started 19th after taking a series provisional as he worked his way up to fifth directly behind Aaron Hatton, who held that spot.

Jewell would get as high as third in the running order as he would blast past Hatton and then Adams. A caution for Chuckie May on lap 20 would hurt Jewell as his tires apparently sealed over and he would slip back to fifth on the restart as Adams and Hatton would take their spots back from him. With ten laps to go it was still McQueary showing the way just as he had done from the beginning of the race with Kinzer giving it everything he had to try and catch him. As the laps wound down traffic would start to play a major role in the race as McQueary was encountering some difficulty with a lapped car and that would allow Kinzer to chase him down. Hatton was starting to get closer as well as he passed Adams and then set his sights on the two frontrunners. Kinzer would try every avenue to get by McQueary in the closing laps and on a couple of occasions he would have a run on McQueary coming off of turn two, but McQueary would fight back all of Kinzer's challenges and take his car home to victory lane for the second time this season extending his series points lead. Kinzer finished a close second with Hatton right on Kinzer's heels at the finish as Hatton crossed the line in third. Adams would have his best career BoB finish with a fourth and Jewell would earn hard charger of the race mention finishing in fifth after starting 19th.

Completing the top ten were David Powers, Frankie Coomer, Scott Hall, Mike Luna and Michael England.

In preliminary action Whitney McQueary was the Racing Optics Fast Qualifier for the 29 entrants on hand with a fast lap of 14.076 seconds. The VP Fuels Makin' Power Heat Race Winners were Whitney McQueary, Tyrel Todd and Brandon Kinzer. The B-main was taken by Shannon Thornsberry.
