Who would be the best "local" to run the Eldora truck race?

After watching the trucks practice at Eldora I couldn't help but wonder.... " If a local could/would run out there, who would have the best shot"?
I would have to guess a Modified driver, cause they have to play the smooth foot game more than the likes of a Late guy.
D Hoffman? Harrison? Bielong? Long? Kermit the frog?
I bet a bunch of guys around here would turn some heads if given the opportunity.

How about Ed Dixon? He does have some ARCA experience, so he's familiar with the asphalt cars, though it was years ago. With his dirt experience and asphalt experience, he may have the best knowledge of what to expect out of one of these things!

All I want to say was what a thrill to watch last night & will be glued to TV tonight. I'm not a Bloomer fan at all. Don't boo him like some fan do. I think it's a sin to boo any of the guys that provide us so much fun unless they drive dirty trying to take out another driver, i.e. Big Block earlier this year on Harrison. But tonight for 1 night & 1 night only I'll have the "0" skull & bones make believe shirt on routing as hard as I can for him to beat the Nascar guys including
Kenny Schrader who I normally route for any time he drives, as the Italian Stallion says "old guys rule" being an old guy myself. I thought it was a blast when the announcer talked about Bloomer & him maybe being a bit arrogant. Have never met him so don't for sure but sure acts that way. Anyway tonight GO BLOOMER GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! & my vote goes to King Kong. What a guy taking on cancer & still providing us fans thrills even though seeing him in #81 instead of "00" never seems right.

I would say whoever the guy is that drives the truck in the street stock class at Tri City (Tom Gaither maybe?)would be the best "local"... Like Austin Dillon said "It's like driving a street stock out there"... They're only 6.5 to 7 seconds off the late model times out there. Kind of a JOKE in my personal opinion. But one thing Nascar has going for them on this is that they are getting a lot of attention out of it. That is what they need right now as it seems they have lost pretty much all of their fan base. If you watch the nationwide or cup race this weekend or any weekend for that matter take a look at the grandstands... Then go back 10-15 years and watch highlights of an older race and take a look at the grand stands... Sad to say but it's ruined.

I say the Truck Drivers should drive street stocks the Nationwide should drive Mods and Nascar should drive Late Models and should drop dups races at the same track and drive at least 5 races on dirt. That would bring fans back. They would get the dirt racing fans involved and interested in Nascar. There are a lot of dirt fans that do not like Nascar.

You would almost have to pick the guy with the most laps around that place, that's the most important factor in my opinion. In that case in his prime(healthy) I would say Korte for sure. I do believe out of all of the drivers around here if given the chance with laps on the track and such that Micheal Long is one of the very best. I don't know Micheal but he is a master it seems when the track gets black.

I would say Mevert, Griffaw, Harrison, Long and Hoffman could of ..would of and or should of hang with "anyone" that is running Eldora in the trucks and would be the pilots of my 5 man team of World of OutLaw Modified Team if I were to hit the Megamillion Loto so I could start one :p
