Who would you like to see added to the "Wall of Fame"

Clark Pruneau and Mike Thurman. Tommy Worly Sr, has been there forever, and has always been a winning racer, or front runner even during his worst seasons, but should a guy that is still that tough of a competitor be on a wall of fame or hall of fame? If someone still racing hard should be in then put him in too. I don't think it should have to be a driver, livetime pit crew members from one team or another, officials who were there forever, sponsors who were a major part of racing, and many others should be eligible

Tommy Worley Sr.should be without even thinking about it he is still a tough racer he has had many championships at farmington alone not to mention a few other tracks 11 in all with the most recent at the rock in a dwarf car and i agree why does it always have to be a sprint car? and not somebody in another class of car he is been doing this thing for 34 years and never missed a year. he is very desreving of this and as most drivers know he would help out anybody if he could. he has also hleped make this track as have so many other become a hot spot for racing in the midwest all i am sayiny give credit where credit is due and give it for there accomplishments not so much for popularity. also next to Tubby and Bob Toman he is the oldest active driver at our local tracks and still can rattle the young guys and take them to scool now and then on driving a car

Mike Thurman is a good choice. Also, Ronnie Sales would be a good one. Both these guys were damn good drivers(probably still are).

I would have to say Worley Sr. he has more championships than any of the those mentioned in different type cars(he even drove a sprint car) but as i have been reading the past post it does'nt seem to matter about there accomplishments just if they are maybe popular or that they where just feirce racers.
i think he has more championships than even Danny Mosier for sure more than Dean Adams Jr. and if not more than tubby then is real close to it.
it seems to me that those (whoever those people are that does the selection for the driver is going to put whoever they want to. Instead find a way to let the fans vote and not just a select few on the forum.
All i'm saying is give credit where it is dew this is a no brainer.there is no money for it it no headline news though i think it might make the Speed Channel!

millsey i just e-mailed you the other day and ask if you where involved in the wall and you told me that cory franklin is the one that will decide on it so who is the selection commity????

Kingkracer

If you will look at the begining of this post, it started in 2003 ! And no one has been added yet. I would certainly hope that the track owner was the one who made this decision ... I think it would be Cory and Jill's call . LD :)

HobbieStocksFan

yeah i seen where it started in 2003 but to my knowledge nobody went on the wall last year
for one i never siad it was not cory and jill's choice or that they will not get the final say
For one Mike "Thumbs" Thurman only had one championship and if you was to ask him if he would still be racing today he would have told you no he made it very clear that when he turned 40 he was getting out of driving and just wanted to wrench
and another if you are anybody else wants to call names on the computer then use your given name i don't really care for the name calling so if you want to talk opions thats fine but do it clean. i know mike thurman and have known him since i was a little kid he was a good driver but what about the accomlishments!!! do you know Worleys our do you care it's clear that popularity is the deciding factor, and how is wrenching in the world of outlaws make you a legend? just wanting to know. now if that was carl kinser or such then maybe you have a have a good point but hey why dont we just nominate any driver from wherever just as long as he made an appearance at the track and he getserdone and races nightly at some other track 3 states away.
hey HobbieStockFan this is a mute discussion i forgot i was LD and that the track owners should be the ones to decide it. it at least needs to be a vote on the computer or at the track by the fans!!! if not for the fans there would be no track owners.

Im NOT going to get on here and talk trash with anyone, but i would like to know what the HECK you are talking about ????????? I did NOT make fun of no one !

And my post saying that Cory and Jill should be the ones making that decision is only because the past track owners were the deciders in who was put on the wall . LD

I can tell you there are already plans in the works for the announcement of at least one wall of fame inductee in the very near future. Actually there hasn't been anyone added in more than two full seasons. That's not because it wasn't noted, pushed or suggested though....

I don't know what others may think, but, Doug Brewster and Chris Boyds dads should be nominated for the wall,do to the fact that they both passed away at the track doing what they loved. Those are the only two that I know of that passed away there, sorry if I missed someone.

Frank Higgins

howard leonard also passed away as a result of a accident at the track in may of 87. he raced the #64 in sportsman. before that he helped tommy worley sr. and also ran the tow turck for the track for a few years.Tommy was and still is a very hard charging driver and would help anyone who needed it. and yes i have to agree the support classes usually do get over looked. but i dont think any one intends on down grading any class. cause no matter what class you run it is still time and money and alot of hard work. TAKES SPECIAL PEOPLE to be out there week after week just for the fun of it.I would hate to be the one to have to choose. because someone is bound to get over looked and no on purpose.

hey millsey cant you make a spot for a vote box on the computer on this web site and lets say select three nominations and let the voteing begin i dont know if it can be done lets say one vote per visitor per user name is it possible to do that without a lot of trouble or multiable votes from the same person?

thanks millsey i think this will make it easy for all that visit the site to vote and it's probably the fairest way to do it. now it's up to the fans and those that visit the web site this should be a good way to do it. i can only think how tough it is to make the list of drivers, officals, pitcrew etc. to vote on i would like to say this much if any driver or pitcrew is lost even long time officals and such there should be a spot on the wall without a vote it just needs to be done. maybe a special area on the wall with a black flag and there name in the middle of that flag maybe a memory wall for those that have been lost.

hey this is jessy and i didn't know my uncle howard (howard leonard ) but i have heard alot of stories about him and how he was and i think that he should be put on the wall because he passes away becaue of racing and from what i have been told he loved it very much and would prolly still be doing it if not for that happening
