Why Jimmy!

I cant believe that we have a strong racing community and a good message board for our racers to discuss issues and you have to lock a thread cause you deem it politically incorrect. The racers in our area and across the nation work hard for their race programs and when they get shafted by whoever and they should have a right to voice their minds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If all you are going to do is B!TCH on here this weekend, I'm going to lock your account soon too...

Jimmy, thanks for TRYING to keep this board positive. I am tired of all the beaching and slamming on here. Nothing good was gonna come out of that.

You do have a right to voice your minds. However, this site is funded and maintained by Jimmy. He has the right to close or delete any thread he chooses. Remember he OWNS the site.

If you want freedom to spew anything you like, find a host and start www.iwannacomplain.com. Then you have the choice to post whatever you like!

I learned long ago, you don't want to mess with Jimmy in Jimmy's world. He'll win everytime. Especially if you're wrong. First hand account on my part.

There's a very serious legal issue that arises when people make statements about others on this site which Jimmy could ultimately be drug into. And, there are also two sides to every story.

This is a racing site, not the Better Business Bureau.

Personally, I would never do business with someone who would use this site to to express an opinion about me if I failed to live up to their expectations.

Jimmy acted properly and should continue to do so anytime this site is used incorrectly.

Let's see......................

BECAUSE IT'S HIS SITE!!!!! :p:p:p:D:D

Go put up the money and the time to have your own website - then you can decide what stays and what goes - and listen to people like you complain.
I belong to another car related forum that allows no political posts or member bashing whatsoever - and it is a WONDERFUL site. If the mods or the owner don't like what you post - poof, it's gone. Yes, people complain, but those rules are for the betterment of the site. You are lucky Jimmy lets us go as far as we do.....

Those who want to b!tch and complain can always take their gripes to the Rants & Raves section on craigslist.com. On there, people say whatever they want about whoever they want.

Any lawsuit involving the internet and statements made on there is bound to be challenged by the ACLU. They monitor that kind of stuff very closely.

AMEN!!! I COULDN'T AGREE WITH YOU MORE TALKER GUY

I Agree Ttg! Seems Funny To Me Why People See Fit To Voice A Complaint On Here With Someone When They Could Easily Call That Person Or Handle It In Private Messages. I Have Always Said, Any Post Started For The Purpose To Bash A Person Should Be Wiped Away. Jmo

I don't think you saw what was put on here, Scott. The post that got the thread locked was also deleted. And it really was something so inappropriate that it didn't need to be on here. Be fair to Jimmy. I have said a lot of stuff that was controversial, yet not once has Jimmy interfered with me expressing my opinion, although some of the threads I have been involved in have been locked. I've never had a problem with it, he has to do what he thinks is in the best interests of the site and protect himself too.

i understand why JD shut down the thread; probably do to the liability issue.i also think that if the posted statement was true, then it's "fair game" so to speak.but, like it's been said before, it's his site, his rules, we have to respect that.

Fair enough. Thanks Todd!
