Why No Local PCRA Races?

Why are there no local tracks interested in running a PCRA race this year?

I have asked this question in another post but I didn't get a reply from the people who can answer the question...the promoters.
PCRA brings good pay, good tech and national recognition (Dirt on Dirt does a story on each race) to the local crate racers and tracks.

Maybe if the promoters will let the issues with the PCRA be known something can get done resolve them but, so far it seems no one wants to co-operate.
Not looking for any bashing, arguing or unnecessary finger pointing, just a discussion on how to bring great racing with a great payout to a fast growing class of racers.

There are a lot of good crate drivers and cars in this area and it's ashame they don't get the chance to race a good regional series.

Thanks in advance for your input!

The PCRA show last year at SFCR (Farmington) only had a car count of 12. If someone would contact Cory with a 20 car guarantee he would give them another shot. It was a shame that the PCRA did not show up with the big car counts that they usually do and put on a show that would make the fans beg for them again. Hopefully a PCRA show can be added to the 2013 schedule.

Great question Joe. I even have companies that are interested in supporting the series but cant seem to get an answer on why the local tracks dont want to support it. Hopefully, someone can shed some light on the subject.

I also would like to hear from the promoters,of why they are not booking any local shows for the crates. We support our local tracks all year long. Why can't the tracks support us and book some shows with PCRA? If there is somting that went on, that we do not know about, please share with us and make us understand. rick heck

Its a shame that we cant get anyone to comment on this subject. There are owners, drivers, and sponsors ready to support this series if there were local races on the schedule.

I can't believe nobody has anything to say. I did see highland put up their crate schedule, no pcra and i can only assume no tech. It won't take long before the crate engines run as good as the open motors without tech. Its the only way this class survives

It's to bad that the local tracks won't get on board.

But it won't really matter, because all the PCRA has to do is get 10 to 12 races scheduled and 8 to 10 racers to follow them to be successful. If they can do that again this year the local tracks will be the ones that suffer. With the best payout, tech and all the sponsors they have lined up for this year all their crate cars will be out of town for all the local tracks "big" races.

Just ask anyone that raced a PCRA race last year and I'm sure they will tell you the payout and product sponsors in the series were awesome! And I'm hearing this year is looking even better!

Besides that, if any of the crate racers want a chance at winning the UMP points they will need to follow the PCRA for the bonus points....just like last year!

Good Luck.

"all their crate cars will be out of town for all the local tracks "big" races."

Just an observation, but I believe that quote is the reason you see no local races.

And on a side note, why dont we see any promotion from the PCRA? I didn't see any promotion from the PCRA about the race last night and/or any results. The average person probably dont even know what the PCRA is, because there is no promotion.

Who won last night?

Not bashing, just offering constructive critisism.

Hope they get more drivers to follow them than what was there last night. Not trying to be negative because I've been to a fair share of their shows and enjoy what they are doing for the class but the only drivers they really brought were Vandenbergh, Heck, Suhre, Dauderman, and maybe Gardner and Huffman because I'm not sure if they are running the series or not.
