Why No Local PCRA Races?

There were 21 crates there on Saturday...

"all their crate cars will be out of town for all the local tracks "big" races."

Just an observation, but I believe that quote is the reason you see no local races.

And on a side note, why dont we see any promotion from the PCRA? I didn't see any promotion from the PCRA about the race last night and/or any results. The average person probably dont even know what the PCRA is, because there is no promotion.

Who won last night?

Not bashing, just offering constructive critisism.

You may be right about why the local tracks won't run PCRA. On the other hand, it seems they can cooperate to not run their "big" crate shows (really just adding a few bucks on top) on the same nights but they can't get together on running a good paying PCRA show.

I agree that they need to do a better job of promoting and posting results.

Thanks for your input!

Hope they get more drivers to follow them than what was there last night. Not trying to be negative because I've been to a fair share of their shows and enjoy what they are doing for the class but the only drivers they really brought were Vandenbergh, Heck, Suhre, Dauderman, and maybe Gardner and Huffman because I'm not sure if they are running the series or not.

As I said, 8 to 10 followers would be great and I think they will get that because I know of 2 that had to stay home at the last minute. I believe Huffman is following it and Walston has said he is going to race them all too. Not sure about Gardner but with him and the others i mentioned that would be about 8. Also, it's hard to judge with a race this early in the season and at least 4 hours from home for most. And I'm not sure you could say that the rest of the cars were just there because it was the Toilet Bowl, what did they have last year for this race? I looked and there were 5 total crate cars there last year...so lets say PCRA brought 10 to 15 cars?

Thanks for your input.

They had 11 on Friday and 15 on Saturday last year, so this year was an improvement.

Just an observation from being on both sides of this, when a track supports your seriesI think the series promoter should su[pport that track a little. Tri City supported PCRA as well as the series championship, maybe the series promoter should support Tri City, or other tracks that support his series.I don't know if this is the problem or not, certianly not trying to make anybody mad, just my observation. The whole Clarksville race this year I do not understand,it suppose to be pill draw and passing points,it was not,it is supposed to be double file resart with the leader in the front. It was top four lines nose to tail, with fifth place on back double file, they should enforce their series rules no matter what track they are at.Just my opinion.

I absolutely agree!

Just to make it clear, I am not trying to make anyone mad here either. Just trying to get a discussion going to try to improve what I think is a good thing for the racers.

Thanks for your input.

See you at the track soon.

Do I tell clarksville its pill draw passing points and not get a race down there. or do their way and get two races at there race track for the series

No, you do not tell them that it is pill draw/passing points only. If it is going to be different than the normal you should make sure that everyone that is at the event knows what is going on.(Drivers meeting).

If Lucas Oil or World of Outlaws,Mars, etc. comes into a track, they run their rules.I understand you have to do what you have to to book a race, and you evidently new this when you booked the race.At that point why did you not communicate with the racers that support your series that the rules was going to be different at clarksville? In the middle of the race, and not lining up right is not the time to tell us.You have a good thing going here, and three of my boys had planned on following your series to help out your car count, but you are going to have to communicate with the racers who support you.a suggestion would be to post the results after the race, another suggestion you hsve late models that you drive, show up at the tracks who support you and try to support them.I think it would help you to get more people who want to follow your series, by racing at some of the tracks that support you. Not trying to make you mad Mark, just trying to give some suggestions, people help people who help them.
