Will the Sportsmen class survive at SFCR??

As much as I've enjoyed the Sportsmen (formerly Hobby Stocks) at St. Francois County over the years I just can't see the class surviving much longer at SFCR. With Chuck and Charles Adams leaving and going to I-55, Randy Forster going into a Modified and the Pure Street class coming in something is going to have to happen to the Sportsmen class for it to live on. I was also told Kevin Mosier was planning on running at I-55, but then I was told he was wanting to "float" from track to track.

When I look at the final points from the Sportsmen from last year I can only find five or six that should be there on a weekly basis. Others have either moved to a different class or class or have just sold their cars and got out. It would be a horrible shame to lose this class because they put on a fantastic show all the way down to the final night last season. I hope what ever happens occurs early enough so everyone can work out their season plans....

This was the final Sportsmen points standings from last year. Look at the names and see if you don't agree with what I was saying...

Hopefully by counting the names you have posted that I can come up with 15 cars that will be there. I feel the same way, I hope our class can survive, I don't want to have to pull 140 miles one way again, but I did and will do it again......"The Hustler"

I found out about a couple of new drivers that are planning on racing at SFCR in the Sportsmen class this year so that will greatly help...
