CLARKSVILLE, TN – Jason Wilson of Margaret, AL has clinched the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series East Region Championship with 756 points accumulated in his best 16 finishes at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL and Childersburg Speedway in Childersburg, AL. Wilson has nine wins during 23 weeks of StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series competition.

With four weeks to go in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series season, Wilson has a 42-point lead over Carlton Freeman, who has 714 points in his best 16 finishes at Talladega Short Track and Childersburg Speedway.

Logan Yates took the win on Saturday night at Talladega Short Track, and is third in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series East Region points, with 690 points in his best 16 finishes. Adam Martin is fourth with 688 points in his best 16 finishes, and John Pierce is fifth with 668 points in his best 16 finishes.

If Freeman, Yates, Martin, or Pierce were to win each event they could compete in during the last four weeks of the season, none of them could not net enough points to catch Wilson.

Of the events available in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series East Region, there is just one point event left to run at TST, with three at Thunder Mountain Speedway in Fyffe, AL. Childersburg Speedway has closed for the season.

Samuel Brown is sixth in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series East Region points with 609 points in his best 16 finishes at Thunder Mountain Speedway, and Jimmy Elkins Jr. has posted 602 points in his best 16 finishes at TST and Childersburg to ride in the seventh spot. Buddy George is eighth with 572 points in his best 16 finishes.

Lee Burdett is ninth in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series East Region points with 516 points in 14 starts at TST and Childersburg, and Steve Kirk rounds out the top ten with 513 points in 15 starts at TST.

Goldman can gain some ground this weekend, as both Keeton and Mosley will be serving seven-day suspensions for Unsportsmanlike-like conduct during the post-race technical inspection last Saturday night at the StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series National Touring event at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS.

In other StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region action over the weekend, Rodney Wing took a day off from promoting a successful StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series National Touring event at Whynot Motorsports Park on Saturday night to travel to Columbus, MS on Sunday and take the win at Magnolia Motor Speedway.
