Wisconsin Driver Wins Fastrak Event At Cherokee Super Speedway

Chris Carlson of Greenville Wisconsin won the Southern Region FASTRAK event Saturday night at Cherokee Super Speedway at Gaffney SC

His victory was worth $3,000.00.

Carlson took over the top spot from early race leader HotRod Lamance, then held off repeated charges from Lee Cooper and Chris Steele.

During interviews with Southern Region director Jody Palmer, Carlson stated that he really liked the big half mile speedway.

Lee Cooper continued his strong performances with a 2nd place finish. Cooper finished in the runner up spot in both weekend Fastrak races.

Chris Steele came home 3rd after winning heat #1. Roger Pate had a solid 4th place run in the Pancake House car.

16 year old Mattew Daniels came home 5th. Special thanks goes to series founder Stan Lester and Bill Conner of City Chevrolet for putting up bonus money for the event.
