FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: What is the “Commonwealth Clash”?

A: The Commonwealth Clash is a $10,000-to-win, World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series sanctioned race contested each year at the historic Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, PA and is the “little brother” to the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup (contested every year at Lernerville Speedway during the “Month of Money” in Mid-July). Traditionally the Commonwealth Clash was a mid-May, mid-week show, but was moved to a Saturday Night in September date last season. Unfortunately, last year’s Clash was rained out.

Featuring the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, the Commonwealth Clash program is a complete show with time trials, heats, dash and Last Chance Showdown, and a $10,000-to-win, 30-lap Feature.

The full roster of World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series stars will be in action, including Four-Time Defending Series Champion Donny Schatz, “The King” Steve Kinser, Joey Saldana and Jason Meyers. Recent winner of the 50th Annual Knoxville Nationals Tim Shaffer will return to his home track for his second career World of Outlaws victory at Lernerville Speedway; Shaffer was the 2005 Silver Cup Champion. Former Track Champion Dale Blaney is expected to compete along with invaders from the Pennsylvania Posse including Silver Cup Twin #1 Feature Winner Lance DeWease and Fred Rahmer. All Time Sprint Car Wins Leader Ed Lynch Jr. and Defending Track Champion Rod George will lead the charge for the home team!
