World of Outlaws Point Leader Joey Saldana to Appear on Wind Tunnel on SPEED Tonight

Concord, NC-August 8, 2010- Joey Saldana, the current World of Outlaws championship point leader, will join host Dave Despain on Wind Tunnel on SPEED tonight at 9 p.m. Eastern.

Saldana, who is in his fifth full season driving for Kasey Kahne Racing, which is owned by the NASCAR star, leads the World of Outlaws with 10 A-Feature wins in 2010 and also is on top of the leader board in laps led. He has 38 Top-10 finishes this season with 29 of those being Top-Five performances.

The second generation driver holds a slim nine-point lead over 20-time series champion Steve Kinser, as he chases his first series crown. Saldana finished second in points in 2007 and has finished third twice in his career. He ran fifth on Saturday night in the finale of the Ironman 55 at I-55 Raceway, after coming all the way from the 19th starting spot to finish seventh in the opener on Friday to hold on to the top spot in points.

Saldana has finished eighth or better in eight straight races and has held the World of Outlaws point lead after 37 of the 49 races this season, with his largest lead being 62 points following an event on June 26 and at one point in the spring, he held just a single point lead over Kinser following an event at the famed Williams Grove Speedway.
