TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Before packing away the seat cushions and coolers for the season, there’s a high speed Sprint car doubleheader on the lightning fast Action Track in Terre Haute. On Wednesday, Sept. 17, the World of Outlaws hits the half-mile dirt oval in one of Steve Kinser’s last appearances in Indiana as a full-time driver in the series. On Thursday, Sept. 18, the Jim Hurtubise Classic returns USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Cars to the famed oval after bad weather forced a postponement last month.The back-to-back racing brings some of the best drivers in the world to the same track on the Wabash Valley Fairgrounds. There’s great camping right outside the track. Spend a night or two. See the great World of Outlaws and those wing sprint cars fly around the Action Track in their first appearance here since 2006.
