To: I-57/I-64 Raceway

I was at the races last night and it was about a joke. Pay 12 dollors to get in and only seen 10 cars in every class but the Hornets. People that sat around me said they would not be back to watch a bunch of Heat Races.

I do believe when the Sneeds ran the show on Sunday Night they had a full field of cars. But they had nobody in the Stands. I see where this could be a problem. But if there is no cars in the pit area then there will be no people in the stands.

Come on people help support this post so we can get a Sunday Track.

If you Start the races at 5:30, every one should be home by a decent hour. Advertise on the radio, newspapers of surrounding community's and have something fun to bring the famliy's there.

Just try it for a month in May and see what good things may bring!

i agree we need a sunday track in the area. it would put more cars in the pits and more people in the stands. the only time they really get a good car count is summernationals and thats during the week. goes to show what racers and fans would do for a good car count.

Sunday Track

Dont You All Remember The Sneeds Tried That And Then Everyone Complained That They Got Home Too Late To Go To Work The Next Day And The The Sneeds Switched Back To Sat. Night..........because They Still Did Not Get A Car Count ....

Sundays

I found it interesting that the sign on the way into the track still said "Racing Every Sunday"

I personally prefer the track at Mt. Vernon, and prefer racing Saturday's. Why not encourage the people who are sick of the crummy track conditions at Highland (not saying it's due to preparation or effort), to run at a track that doesn't ruin 3 tires per night. It's cheaper for me than highland, and a lot more fun to drive on.

I have talked with the sneeds, and the reason why they switched nights was they had nobody in the stands. With everyone complaining about getting home late is because the sneeds had never ran a track before. Rick does a good job at getting everyone home at a decent time.

Friday night will be questionable where we run. Whether Mt. Vernon runs on Saturday night or Sunday night doesn't matter. We will be there. This is definitely where we want to run.

Yea, with all the old mod guys used to running Tri State on sundays, being thats the same group that runs Clay county, that would be a good move.

Hey Rick, you could take Fayette County over and run a Sunday show,,,how about that? Can't you run 2 as cheap as 1? :rolleyes:That's what I thought...:eek:

Rick please keep it on Saturday if some people like another track they should go there
You did a good job for your first night with all the rain we got Fri night you know you can't please some people

I agree

I think that Mt Vernon and Clay County can both run on saturday nights...the ones that want to race Mt Vernon need to race Mt. Vernon...
the ones that want to race Clay County should race Clay County...

I don't want to go to Mt Vernon.. you don't want to go to Clay Co...
enugh said...

All I'm trying to say is Mount Vernon needs a better car count, if they change to a night that there is not a track 49 miles away then They might get some cars. If they have no cars in the pits then nobody will want to spend 12 bucks to watch 10 cars in each class, that is all Im trying to do, but I guess there not in it for the money.

Sunday

Sundays Would Be Good But Add A Spotrsman Class Compareable To Highland, belleville, and Pevely Cars Probably Would Say You Gets Some Cars And Fans . Just A Thought For I Race A Sportsman.
