rather than get involved in the banter of the child acting other ppl posting above me, Invader brought up a good point. My first race experiences were at Mt. Vernon as well and that track unfortunately is nothing what it used to be. There is not the quality of cars there once was there. There used to be 20+ late models every night. It was exciting passing around the last curve to get to the track and getting your first glimpse of the big rigs in the pits and anticipating the exciting racing. Now, there are so few cars its not worth the entry. Yes, a bunch of 4 cylinders show up and some ppl like that but its not that exciting of a class really. Seeing the latemodels are much more exciting. When you only draw 10-12 late models it just isnt as fun to watch. The track has struggled pretty much since Lomax left there and I hate to see that. One thing i've wandered, when you talk about prize money for the cars, and i dont know what it is anymore, but what is the big difference in giving 1200 to win, bumping that to 1500 to win. 300 dollars is not very much money. Or even bumping up to 2000 to win. That would draw alot of cars. Its not that much more money. Maybe that's not possible but I didnt seem to think that was a whole lot more money.

Maybe the gas station could charge $5.00 a gallon, it's not that much more. LoL. Being sarcastic but the expences are up for the promoter too. Also 2000 to win don't help if its 600 or less for 2nd.

everyone is here to express their own opinions. you stating that everyone posting above you is childish is just as childish. state your opinion and move along to yor next post.....$300 is alot of money. its fuel to the track and back for some people. the track already has problems drawing cars. upping the payout wont help.

as far as the dirt at MTV goes Frankie Martin said this to me the other morning after i asked him how the track was "the track was really good, i could go high, middle, or low, and run fast" i wasnt able to go but he said thats where he plains on going for awhile
