UMP membership a MUST!!

I believe I heard there were 8 drivers last year that used the 50,000 policy they get with their membership!

Tell ump you want to know where the past license agreement money went in detail with receipts and i bet they tell you a crock of crap they only pay so much for points wheres the rest wake up people its a scam takes a ******* on tracks to get what u want done and trust me it works but it take everyone to do it

Thats not a good deal at all for a lower class guys that dont run that much. The pay in those classes are about a joke anyway.Ha guess just have fun is going to cost a little more.

Sounds to me like no one knows what's going on lol...you know ump ain't gonna get on here and tell us!! Wonder how much kick back the tracks are gonna get?

OK..time for old fireball to spout off...i belive some type of temp licnes should be made available at a reasonable cost allowing a racer that does not race ump tracks on a regular basis to partisapate..then with all recers required to have a membership the fees should be as follows...$50 for hornet drivers,,$75 for street stock, stock car, sportsman and b-mods..$100 for mods, crate ..$125 for super lates,,,,,that will bring in less but more money,,less money for each driver to pay but if every one has to be a mamber more total money for ump....JMO...this is lenny garson and i approve this posting...

I'm pretty sure every other weekly sanctioning body REQUIRES you to buy a license... IMCA, USRA, NeSmith, ASA, WISSOTA, NASCAR, etc.. are mandatory to buy a license. Show up to a track sanctioned by one of these series without a license and you will be buying a license before you pill draw.

And here is a quote from Terry Young...

It doesn't take rocket science to figure it out... in order to be able to have inspectors, office staff etc. it takes money, that money has to come from some where, so that is just one reason that these organizations require you to be licensed... UMP hands out THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of dollars at the banquet each year and that money doesn't fall from the sky, the only thing I personally think U.M.P. did wrong in this scenario is they took about 15 years too long to require this.

Well they need inspectors that show no mercy on rules and no favortism, and know what there doin not do a walk by with a tape measure and say cover up left front firewall come on really look at my illegal birdcages being aluminium or gold rear end or aluminuim block in my mod duh

They all may require memberships but they also have temporary memberships available! Plus they kick back track points funds so the guys that can't race 2-3 nights a week have something to race for! USRA is paying $1,500 to win modified points at Moberly this year...Fulton, which is UMP, pays on average 2-300. No point money for the local guy that wants to run UMP. Pretty obvious which one id choose!

Who is to say they won't do more once for track point funds once they start getting more than 15% of the racers to become members. UMP paid out around $350,000 in point funds this past year. They did not have near enough members to even come close to that amount.

UMP had one race memberships for Summer Nationals and Summit Modified Nationals for $20 per race (Membership was mandatory to run in those events). I haven't heard if they are going to offer that or not.

terry young is a man that had a silver spoon in his mouth when he was born also!!! just another big shot who gets kick from ump somehow... just face it ump is a bunch of jack sticks that dont have no worries about teams cause their only worried about lining their pockets!!! somebody is roling over in his grave right now with all the sh-t they have done since he passed!!!!

They receive weekly fees from tracks besides membership monies.

Again, I have no problem as long as they hold up their end which they have not in the past. I give them an F- for a grade on tech. Why tech if you are going to let guys off. They even had a tire dope distributor, who was also a racer, dead to rights caught and did nothing. Pathetic!

UMP License Costs...

Late Models, Modifieds, Pro Late Models are $125.
Sportsman, Limited Mods, Stock Cars are $100.
Factory Stocks & Sport Compacts are $80.

Tri-City, Highland and Belle-Clairs Street Stocks are run under Factory Stocks. So they would only need the $80 license.

James Jimmy "the Saw" Cummins, you know you will buy your UMP membership this year just like you have every other year! And yes, I know you are only playing the devil's advocate here.

My Jimmy did use track insurance to help pay medical bills not covered by his own personal insurance several years ago. After your own medical insurance pays, you have to submit the unpaid/non-covered portion of the bills to the track for payment of what was not covered by your own medical insurance. The track's insurance then reimburses you for the non-covered amount.

Just so I understand. If I want to race at local tracks around here I must buy a UMP membership not only to race there but also recieve UMP points then if I want to race for track points I must also buy a membership to the track?

yep gotta have both...bout a bunch of crap if you ask me and several others!!! So much for Tri city being driver and family friendly!!!!

I think this is some what silly that we are worrying about this so much. I agree it ****s. Add another cost to a sport that we drain everything we have in to. However, we spend thousands if we can gain a few tenths a lap, yet we are complaining about another 125 bucks. I dont want to pay it, but think about it im not having a car that I have spent THOUSANDS on in the garage bc I wont pay 125. UMP has us by our um balljoints and they know it. One more thing to **** up and go on.
