The 525ct crate motor is all aluminum, it is legal for the modifieds now.

There are plenty of tickets left. They only open up more sections as needed.

It is not just the engines that ruins the crate class. To build a car that will win, it actually cost more than a super. Everything must be low drag, superlight rotating weight. They even run smaller diameter ring gears in the rearend.

They quit running the street tires for safety. I was a official out there at that time. We were picking blown up tires off the track every night. The sidewalls are not designed to handle high loads at low tire pressure. When the track was 1/4 mile it was alright. The speeds reached on the 3/8...

I like the feel of the mod tire better after it has a short heat cycle in it.

I ran one when I raced sportsmen. I liked it. I had a regular victory jr before, with a adapter on it. I think the 2v intake had a little smoother throttle response.

I am looking for a cheap bell housing. I am not looking for a bert or brin style. I would take a stock aluminum old style bell housing. Thanks in advance.

I think its a great decision. The winds are going to be 20mph. I only know a few fans that will sit through that. I know as a racer I don't like abusing my engine in cold temps like this. Alcohol engines don't like sub 50 temps.

I thought this was going to be a great deal. Now I'm not to sure. They are going to send home 110 mods Thursday night, with no more than a chance to group qualify. You should at least get to run a heat race. If you get stuck in a bad group of cars during group qualifying your done.
