It is not just the engines that ruins the crate class. To build a car that will win, it actually cost more than a super. Everything must be low drag, superlight rotating weight. They even run smaller diameter ring gears in the rearend.

I ran one when I raced sportsmen. I liked it. I had a regular victory jr before, with a adapter on it. I think the 2v intake had a little smoother throttle response.

I think its a great decision. The winds are going to be 20mph. I only know a few fans that will sit through that. I know as a racer I don't like abusing my engine in cold temps like this. Alcohol engines don't like sub 50 temps.

I thought this was going to be a great deal. Now I'm not to sure. They are going to send home 110 mods Thursday night, with no more than a chance to group qualify. You should at least get to run a heat race. If you get stuck in a bad group of cars during group qualifying your done.
