08-09 Blues thread

Does anyone on here ever have any extra tickets to sell cheap or give away. I'd love to take my g/f to a game as she's only been to 1 other game a few years ago. We live 2 hrs from St. Louis, but would love to make it to a game. Weekends would be best. If you have any extra tickets, please message me. Thanks!

Oh now Hound I don't think the blues are playing that badly but you might want to find a video of those bears playing football for the Rams. :p Those bears would surely do better than the Rams did yesterday!:p:p

It's the Blues @ Sabers tonight on FSN. Legace will get the start and Kariya is still out but could be back Friday against the Hawks. A win in Buffalo and Chicago would make things look brighter. The Blues top lines need to pick things up. Play three periods instead of 1 1/2.

I'll take three positives from last night. 1. At least they did'nt roll over and quit, 2. Patrik Berglund looked great, 3. David Perron was all over the ice. The negatives, obviously Murray must not have got them pumped up enough at the start of the game, makes you wonder about the coaching, Legace had an uncharactaristic bad game at the start and the Blues could'nt sustain any pressure in the Sabers zone till late in the game. Mason looked decent finnally. I score both fights a draw. Koci did'nt look out of place. That's my take........

Blue's should have won that game but you cant keep spotting teams 2or 3 goals and then play catch up all the time. What's the latest on Oshie? Our power play doesn't have the punch without Kariya and Oshie. What I don't understand about Murray is if your 3rd line is the most productive why don't they get more time on the ice, it's kinda like not seeing the forest for the trees.

Man if we could ever start playing in the 1st period instead of the 2nd period we might actually win a game.I hope Manny gets his game going but glad to see Mason play a good game and give us a chance to win that game.Oh well time for the chicken hawks on Fri.Go Blues.

High ankle sprains are one of the worst injuries you can have outside of a break. With Oshie they don't have a time table when he'll be back in fact Kelly Chase on the Blues radio side said he has'nt skated since the injury so it will be awhile. This team definatly misses him.

Blues @ Blackhawks tonight on FSN. Hard telling whose starting in goal. Legace will probably be in. The Blues sent Pietrangelo back down to his junior team. I think it was the right thing to do. You could tell he needed more seasoning. Dan Hinote is out so the Blues called up Cam Paddock from Peoria. Jeff Woywitka should be back on the Blues tonight also. Paul Kariya should be back tonight too.

Lets see, the first period the blues came out playing like they did at the start of the season up on top and dominating which saw us win games. Second period went back to the consevative Murray crap and almost lost the game which is why we have lost so many in a row. WAKE UP MURRAY YOUR CONSERVATISM DOESN"T WORK. We arent going to out finesse any team out there. All in all good win. Lets keep it up cause that's all we can do is go up.

The Blues played good against the Canadians last night but could only salvage a point out of the game. The bad news is that they lost Andy McDonald for the rest of the season with a leg fracture. It just seems to me like the Blues are gonna have to go thru another crappy year before things get better. There is a silver lining though in that our kids will carry this team in the future.

McDonald is out for only 8 weeks not that, that is any better.

Hope everyone is voting for the Blues for the All-Star game.

Blues pick up B.J. Crombeen and waive Koci. Looks like Cam is going to have to take on the heavyweights now.

Ducks @ Blues tonight. Legace should be in goal. Regier was recalled from Peoria and will take Kariya's place on the top line. Kind of a patch work Peoriaish line up for Murray tonight. They have no other place to go than up as we're dead last in the NHL.

What a game. Great win by the Blues. I guess the Ducks have taken over the Blues slogan of Whatever It Takes. What was with the ref's tonight. Letting a goal in that clearly shouldn't have been a goal the guy was sitting on Manny but anything to scr3w the Blues.

Yeah that game should'nt have gone into overtime. NHL Refs leave alot to be desired. Crombeen got the game off with a bang and Cam really took it to Brad May. I guess this has to be the way the Blues need to play if they are going to win which is more than alright with me. I love the fights.

Blues @ Wild tonight on KPLR 11. Mason will probably get the start and Berglund might be back. The Blues need to come out hitting and slow the Wilds speedy forwards down. Watch for the Wilds Derek Boogaard, arguably the NHL's heavyweight. Cam might bite off more than he can chew tonight. 7 pm game time.

How bout that 2 in a row. Looks like the beginning of the year, they actually are playing like they want to win, and guess what its worked the last 2 night's. Now a little break and then 2 more back to back.
