Millstadt, IL - The O'Reilly POWRi National Midget Series makes its annual trip to Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, IN. On Saturday July 4th the POWRi National Midgets and the MSCS Sprint cars will celebrate the first annual Independence Day Shootout at the Class Track for an open wheel night of action. Rookie sensation Andrew Felker of Carl Junction, MO leads the POWRi point standings with Nick Knepper of Belleville, IL and veteran Tim Siner of Dupo, IL chasing the point leader. Daniel Robinson of Wayne City, IL and Daniel Adler of East Carondelet, IL round out the top five. Open wheel hot shoes, Jerry Coons Jr., Brad Kuhn, Brad Loyet and Cole Whitt aboard the Red Bull Toyota are also expected to be on hand with many drivers doing double duty in the MSCS Sprint Car series as well.
