2-Person Cruiser World Championship Added to PTGP Line Up
Columbus, MS- The 6th Annual 2-Person Cruiser World Championship has been added back to the line up as part of the 6th Annual Possum Town Grand Prix. There has been a plethora of requests from teams wanting to compete along with the addition of sponsorship that led to the decision to add the class to the line up. The Cruiser teams will battle 20-laps in the $1,500 to win and $100 to start main event. Cruisers will run during the afternoon session each day. The Cruiser event will be sponsored by WJEC-FM 106.5 and WUSA-AM 1380.

FRIDAY: 8-LAP QUALIFYING RACES. SATURDAY: B-MAINS TO FILL 24-CAR FIELD AND 20-LAP CRUISER WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MAIN EVENT.
CRUISER RULES:
Minimum 112” wheelbase. Chevrolets OK. Left side driver controls steering and brake pedal. Right side (passenger) driver controls the throttle (accelerator pedal). Throttle (accelerator pedal) control must be moved to the right side of the car. Rollover bar REQUIRED. NO modifications to Body, Suspension, or Engine! Car must be STOCK.
Engine must pull 17 inches of vacuum at 900 rpm.
Steering: Must remain STOCK. Wheels and tires: STOCK steel wheels. 8-inch maximum width wheels. Must have street legal DOT tires only. 60 series maximum tire width allowed. Rear end: Stock. NO welding.
Must have approved floorboard divider. Window nets highly suggested but not mandatory.
$1,500 claim option on winning car. Does not include window nets, safety belts, harness, or racing seats (if applicable).

From Hwy 82: Take Stokes Road exit and proceed approximately 2 miles north and follow the signs.
