USCS Sprint Car Mid South and National season-opener Sat. 3/19/11 at Malden Speedway
Malden, MO – Saturday night March 19th the USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by Goodyear and the USCS Mid-South Thunder Tour kick off the 2011 season for both series when Malden Speedway in Malden, MO hosts the USCS winged sprint cars (www.uscsracing.com). The event will pay $2000 to win and it is possible for one driver to win $2200 by winning the Goodyear Speed Dash, heat race and A-feature.
This event is part of Malden Speedway's huge March 18th and 19th, 5th annual "Bootheel 200" event. Entries are expected from at least six states for the first of 46 nights for the USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour National point’s chasers. The race also kicks off competition for the USCS Mid-South Thunder regional Championship schedule of 28 events.
On Friday evening the Bootheel 200 features Pole Qualifying races in six divisions that will determine the starting order for Saturday night’s Bootheel 200 Championship main events. The new USCS 600 Sprint Car Series for micro sprint race cars will also contest a full racing program on Friday night including heat races and B and A-mains.
The USCS sprint cars will run their complete racing program during Saturday's portion of the two-day event. The USCS sprint car drivers and teams will have a pre-season practice opportunity at Malden Speedway on Friday night. The practice session is scheduled to make time available for the sprint car drivers three times during the Friday evening pole-qualifying rounds for the other six divisions.
Saturday night’s Bootheel 200 Finals features racing in the following divisions:
1- USCS presented by Goodyear winged Oultaw sprint cars
2 - K&N filters USCS Modified Touring Series
3 - USCS 600 Sprint Car Series for Micro Sprints
4 - Malden's Crate Late Models
5 - Hobby Stock
6 - Street Stock
7 - E-MODs
8 - Mini Stock
In total nearly 150 race cars are expected and there are over 500 laps of competition sheduled during the Bootheel 200 weekend and 200 laps of Championship main events on Saturday.
The event will feature a USCS Triple-header including a $2000 to win the 30-lap USCS Modified Touring Series “Bootheel 200 “Championship A-Main. With posted bonuses, $2200 is possible to win in the USCS Modified division.
Goodyear Racing sprint car tires and methanol will be available at the speedway both nights.
