2015 b mod rules

everybody needs to calm the fuck down. it is the first week of november. take your car apart, clean it up, fix a few things, and let the thing sit there a month or two. it appears to me they are trying to straighten out a set of national rules, they obviously have things a little bit mixed up but let them fix it. wow. are we racing this weekend? you people act like this is a life or death matter
YOU WERE TAUGHT WELL

Everyone I know that runs a USRA B Mod are NOT having these issues, YEah no one is racing this weekend, but this is kind disorganized chaos UMP causes because they do NOT have there act together. If they want to be a sanctioning body then great, step up to the plate and be one and do it right, instead of this half@ss deal where the rules are out but they are not right and then someones cousin talked to Sam, and then his brother posts later and says this, and then the rules say something else and then one the track has something else in mind......
This stuff does NOT happen in USRA. Its time for a change and those that cant see are just not looking close enough.

Amen! It also seems there are alot of guys giving input that dont own a car or race. Very redundant and counter-productive to the issue and discussion. Jmo

I have been very outspoken about the rules and I currently don't own or drive a car however I do have a son that will be starting soon and would like to see the class remain affordable enough for him tosstart there.

I think a lot of people are reading what they want to read. I see issues with the crate rule as well as the ump stickered wheels and shocks. I am not going to go buy new or ship my wheels and shocks. If ump wants this they need to gradually change the rules. This class was originally made so you could buy an old modified and bring it home put in a steel motor and a 500cfm holley and go race. The A-mod guys could sell their old parts and tires to us and we could use them. With that, do I think a few things could be changed to make the class even more affordable? Yes. This has to be done across a few years not over a winter. Give us a time frame for implementing these changes. I think you will find a lot of tracks not checking the rules or they will have a very low car count. No pullbar, all panhard bars mounted on the rear of housing, ump stickered shocks and wheels, no tubular lowers, the body width changes, engine requirements. With I-55 and Highland being the only two tracks here (that I've heard) going with UMP, they will be fighting for the guys that change their cars. Being both run Saturdays. And yes, I do race a B-mod. a 2004 chassis.

well said. You explained the real issues well. I would really hope some promoters stick to there guns and not cave in to UMP and go with the rules that started this class.

when did the class die? This class has been running since St. Charles was running then went to montgomery and farmington and callaway. Never saw it die!!
