281 Speedway hosts next Lone Star Series date March 13

STEPHENVILLE, Texas (March 11) – The sixth installment of the Texas Lone Star Series takes four IMCA divisions to 281 Speedway this Sunday, March 13.
Keith White brings the point lead in both the IMCA Modified and IMCA Sunoco Stock Car stand¬ings to Stephenville and the Spring Fling special. Cory Adams has the top spot in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock point race while Bradley Poor is the leader in the Smiley’s Racing Chassis Southern SportMods.
Pit gates at 281 open at 1 p.m., hot laps are at 2:15 p.m. and racing begins at 3 p.m. The series continues April 17 at Boyd Raceway, May 29 at Heart O’ Texas Speedway in Waco and con¬cludes July 3 at Texas Thunder Speedway in Killeen.
Champion of the Modified series earns a $600 share of the $3,000 point fund. The runner-up gets $450, with $420 for third, $390 for fourth, $300 for fifth, $270 for sixth, $180 for seventh, $150 for eighth and $120 for both the ninth and 10th place drivers.
Point funds for the Stock Car, Hobby Stock and Southern SportMod tours all total $1,000. Each champion earns $250, with $175 for second, $125 for third, $100 for fourth, $75 for both fifth and sixth, and $50 for the seventh through 10th place finishers.
WCH Engines is title sponsor for the Stock Cars, HDC Fabrication sponsors the Hobby Stocks and Southwest Racing Specialties sponsors the Southern SportMods.
