Lonnie Wheatley, LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (September 12, 2007) – I-30 Speedway has been known as a place for racers to collect some hard-earned cash, as has been the case for the past 19 years with the famed Short Track Nationals for Sprint Cars.

There will be plenty of money thrown around this week as well, but this time it will be the Micro Sprint racers that get to cash in as a $10,000 winner's share is up for grabs in this weekend's Second Annual 600 Nationals.

Following a rousing inaugural rendition of the 600 Nationals atop I-30 Speedway's high-banked, ¼-mile clay oval in 2006 that attracted 126 entries from throughout the nation, Travis Senter, Jr., of Osceola, AR, will try to defend his status as 600 Nationals champion when a similar field rolls into Little Rock for two full nights of racing action this weekend.

Following a test and tune practice session on Thursday night, September 13, two full nights of racing action will follow with the top six finishers in Friday night's 600 Nationals preliminary feature locked into Saturday night's $10,000-to-win finale. The balance of the field will start with a clean slate in the battle to fill out the 24-car starting field, with all starters collecting a minimum of $400.

All non-qualifiers will also collect $275 on Saturday night.

In addition to the nation's top 600cc Micro Sprint hotshoes, this weekend's field will also include several Sprint Car aces such as Memphis veteran Mike Ward and local favorite Tim Crawley.

Also taking part in this year's version of the 600 Nationals will be the Horizon Mini Sprints Restricted "A" Class, with $1,000 earmarked for the winner.
