Anniversary show Saturday

June 18th 20005

It was sixty years ago when Macon Speedway opened the doors for auto racing and Saturday night June 18th were going to celebrate another decade of auto racing with the 60th Wayne Webb memorial special. It’s going to be an all day long show for this special event, starting with a car show from 10:00 A.M till 3:00P.M with estimated of 120 cars on hand, then from noon to till 3:00P.M Elvishimselve along with his band will entertain from all the great hits from the king.

All the concession stands will be operating so there will be plenty of food & Beverages for all the fans. For celebrating our sixty years of auto racing every 60th race fan gets in free, also fans are encouraged to dress in the sixties, because there will be a best dressed contest at intermission. The vintage will be on hand for auto racing, these were the old supermodifieds that raced back in the late 50’s and the early 60’s along with street stocks, modifieds and hornets, the sportsman cars will not compete that evening.

The main event for the evening will be the late model division with a 60 lap feature race for $6,000 to the winner. Were expecting a great field of cars for this event, its one week ahead for the summer nationals and UMP has told us there is no special event scheduled on this date. So race fans mark this date on your calendar THE 60th ANNIVERSERY SPECIAL WAYNE WEBB MEMORIAL SATURDAY JUNE 18th THIS IS GOING TO BE A GREAT SHOW!
