Collierville, TN (07/14/10) – Ashley Newman continued his torrid, mid-season pace as he powered his #73 Tucker Motorsports/Parts Plus/Valvoline/Larry Shaw Race Car/Dynotech Racing Engine Open Wheel Modified to another feature win at Clayhill Motorsports and also claimed the USCS Open Wheel Modified Speedweek title.

Ashley carried his mid-season momentum into Clayhill Motorsports in Atwood, Tennessee on Saturday night for a Weekly Racing Series Event. After finishing second in his heat, Newman would start third in the main event. Early in the feature he found the cushion to his liking and would use it to ride past the front row starters as he went on to take the convincing win, which was his seventh of the 2010 season!

It was also announced this week that the final USCS Open Wheel Modified Speedweek event scheduled for Beebe Speedway has been canceled. As a result via his three feature wins and runner-up finish in the four events that were held over July 4th weekend, Ashley claimed the 2010 USCS Speedweek Championship!

This weekend the team plans will be in action in the $1,000 to win, Open Wheel Modified special at Corinth Speedway in Corinth, Mississippi on Saturday, July 17th. For more information on the event, please visit www.CorinthSpeedway.com .
