Is there an asphalt racing series around the Illinois/Missouri/Kentucky area that runs on a weekly basis each week for national points like C.A.R.S runs at Tri-City and Mt. Vernon, or like UMP runs at Belle-Clair and Pevely? I have heard of ARCA and ASA but for one, I don't even know what those abbreviations stand for, and two, are those cars like nascar style cars or late model style cars? I ask this because I saw somewhere that the ARCA type cars are "late model stock cars" so now I'm confused! I've been looking into these two but what I'm finding is these series race at different tracks each week like nascar and not like CARS or UMP. I believe I saw ASA runs at Gateway International but is that on a weekly basis or just a stop in the schedule like nascar? Can somebody help me please?
