B-mods at I-55 next yr???

Need to have one large meeting with all drivers and representatives from pevely highland tri city Farmington Belleville brownstown doe run and Benton get everyone on the same page so guys can go from track to track with little to no changes seems like all these tracks are taking a lot more mid season "breaks" than ever before so it would be great if guys can move around maybe Revin could have it in his new bowling alley space should be big enough for everyone

That would be great to see all these tracks get on the same page with the rules. I would love to be able to venture to other tracks ive never been to. Been waiting for this class to take off and it is finally doing so. Hopefully the tracks keep up on the tech so we have another good class. Lets not make this another sportsman class and let stuff get carried away. Excited now for 2015!! Time to knock off the rust and get back behind the wheel!!!

good luck on getting every one together! I hate to rain on every ones parade but there are only so many cars to go around. Farmington, highland and now Pevely. hmm so much for tracks working together its like watching a race on a one groove track. just play follow the leader. unless there is a uniform rule package and strick inforcement of those rules this class soon will die.

I think the tracks should stick with the tri city rules package. Really seems to be working well. It allows all types of engine and suspension combos to race. No one can say that one suspension type or engine combo is better than the other because they have all won races this year. The only thing I think needs to change is the enforcement of the rules. JMO

I don't understand why so many people are against motors bigger than 360 CID. We have a 356 and a 383 in our b mods and guess what? The bigger one did not cost any more money to build. As far as 4 link I say run them. I raced every b mod race at Tri City this year and I'm pretty sure that the 3 link crate cars won more than the 4 bar cars. So why screw with rules that allows all types of setups run. I don't see any one of them with a huge advantage. JMO

Jeez I hope pevely and allied is smart enough to just do what the guy who has put together the best operation in the area says and does and just goes with what KG tells them. Tri city clearly has the bmod stuff figured out with the car counts they had all year. jmo

the problem with allowing the bigger engines and 4 bar is once somebody gets their act together they will dominate. the majority of the 4 bar / big engines cars at tricity are not set up well and have bad drivers in the cars. if you dont think 4 bar is an advantage, tell me how many cars at mod mania were on 3 link? if you dont think cubic inch is an advantage, why did allied make the bigger cubic inch cars add 200 pounds for the sportsman races?

I agree that crate motors should not be mandatory, but I think they should have an advantage so that somebody new to the division decides to spend $3500 on a new crate engine rather than $6000 to $10,000 on a brand new top notch 355

what happened to the days of guys building their own motors? i think having to buy a crate motor is dumb to compete and forces you to run a chevy motor

USRA rules IIRC have it together for B mods, no 4 bar, link or leafs only, i think 360 CI limit off the top of my head, no spoiler

its pointless to run B mods if all it is, is just taking an A mod and putting a 2 barrel carb on it

Whats the cost difference in a 3 link set up on the rear and a 4 bar set up? i believe a 3 link would be the more cost effective route.

Yeah running 4 bar would be beneficial for guys who end up in an A mod. But for those new to it I believe a 3 link would be easier for guys coming outta sportsman and such.

In my opinion there needs to be more difference in the 2 (a's & b's) than just the motor rules.

I'll let it be known I dont have a b mod. I am still in a streetstock. But I like what im seeing so far and it may be something I kick around if this process goes well. With that said my comment/opinion is what I personally think would be best for the class overall. I sure would hope that thats where everyones opinion stems from. But as we all know there are those who will argue to keep what they currently have and dont wanna have to change anything. To make it work for everyone there will have to be give and take from all. If not this class will be like all the others. Those with the money will always spend it and have some sort of advantage. So anywhere that advantage can be minimized it should be. Jmo

I agree Pitdrifter. That is why I would love to see a solid pull bar. Not for the best interest now. But for the long term, I believe that is something that should be considered.

what would be the use in running 4 bar that would not be much different than a-mod run em with 3link and let em race/tri-city rules please
