2008 Battle of the Bottoms CANCELED
Sept. 12th, 2008
It is with great sorrow that we announce the 2008 running of the Battle of the Bottoms Sept. 20th at Soggy Bottom Raceway in Morgantown, KY has been canceled due to the poor economy. With the sudden rise in fuel prices this summer and the struggling economy it is impossible to risk putting a show of this size on.
We regret that the event has to be canceled but we felt for everyone involved, Racers, crews, fans and sponsors alike this was the best choice to make.
We will still run a full racing card on Sept. 20th featuring UMP Points for the Pro Late Models, Modifieds and Limited Modifieds plus our Street Stock, Pure Stock, Cruisers and Rusty Bolts along with the possibility of a Powder Puff. We will also continue our regular racing through Sept. 27th and then follow up with the season ending 200 lap enduro on Oct. 4th.
We would like to thank our loyal fans and racers who have supported Soggy Bottom Raceway during the 2008 season.
