Very bad decision!!! Some will bash my opinion possibly but thats fine with me. Obviously the input that some put on here isnt important so why waste our time expressing it? All of the champions are pretty much locked up except for the modified division and that class doesnt line up by points anyways so its not a big deal.

But seriously why line up those three classes by points? Yeah yeah yeah i know what you will say bc you have already said it. " To support those that have been there all year " I have been there 75% of this year and my thought are totally different than AARA's. With the year coming to a end this week because of the money situation it makes absolutely no sense to run the show like this when Belleville will be the only track in the area to go to. They would have drawn a decent amount of cars and fans from the tri city drivers that wanted to come race. Especially for the pure stocks and pro 4's. Very bad decision.

No one has ever answered to as to why the Late models and the modifieds line up the way they do but it is different for the other divisions? The other divisions should be treated just as fairly as them two. But obviously not. They may have more expensive and faster cars but they arent any more important than the others. We all pay the same price to get in but are treated differently.

We may still be there friday to race only because we love racing but we will deffinately not agree with the way it is going to be run. Think about the money you will lose by lining the races up this way. Oh well it is a "official" decision now so i am just wasteing my time. Just wanted to express my feelings towards the situation. Not that AARA will give a crap but makes me feel better.....:)

Thank you BC officials, you all have made a decision you felt was right in your heart and I respect your decision. Yes!!!! lets go racing this Friday, Belle Claire bull ring. There you go stu, now you can putt around during the heat race, pull out when you fill you got the right set up and start on the front row, yay, for stu. Dont take this wrong stu, i still hope you finish well, you are one of my many favorites, if not my most favorite in the sportsman. Thank you BC for a great year of racing. There only was one race this year outside of BC that topped you and it wasn't any where near here, it was the chili bowl.

I could see locking in the top 5 or 6, but 12? Have they really supported you all year? The 12th place car in the points is 600 - 800 points behind the leader depending on the class.

your right tommy it is a stupid decision, but look at who and how the officials treat the drivers outside of BC any how. It was a rule fromm the start, but you would think they would of made a different decision, but the guys there arent the brightest. Oh well ther dumb decision, there dumb a-- loss. Ignorance sometimes provails

Don't have an Official answer for ya. But my gut tells me that the LM & MOD are governed by UMP (Meaning..Same rules everywhere) The Pure Stocks, P4'S and Sportsman are under the UMP umbrella but run by home track rules. (meaning..not a clear set of rules everywhere). Just a thought Tommy..

not really true, this would fall under the same category as lining a feature up by passing points, pill draw, dice roll, etc, the starting rules are not same everywhere or set by UMP. i dont think UMP really cares how the features are lined up in any division.

re;weinner dog race,,factory stock weinner dog or 50% weinner/50% toco dog???kind-a like fall nat rules for the dogs...LOL

AARA creates rules and governs 3 classes of cars; sportsman, pure stock, and pro 4. For years the mid season and championship night races have been lined up by points, this year will be no different. A bad year can not become good with 1 night of racing, however a long time racing organization can alienate their biggest supporters by being careless with "their championship night." Remember if the track reopens next spring they will need these long time supporters back, and I am sorry but you need them more than a racer who wants to come 1-2 nights a year.

I'm not exactly sure how to take this.. Lol.

First, Stu doesn't get on here. Second, we won't be putting around. He loves to race, and racing for the win is what he's going to do.

I totally agree with almost everything you have mentioned Scotty. Its just one of them things that it wouldnt have hurt them at all but it would have helped them. All the guys that race belleville on a weekly basis would have been there even if they decided not to line up by points. They are regulars no matter what and would be there. Now by lining up by points you will still probably get a couple extra cars in there but not like you would if it was run like a regular show.

We all realize that this has been the tradition for years on end. But there comes a time when things have to change to accomadate others and this would be one of them times. Now if Belleville was drawing 20-25 cars in these classes on a weekly basis then this wouldnt be a issue. But when you are only bringing in 12-15 cars on a good night you need to look at alternatives. I would even be happy if the said that they will line up the top 6 by points and 7 on back is decided from heats, etc. But come on locking in the top 12 is a little much. I have always though that too not just right now.

I probably wouldnt be arguing this as much either if we werent shutting down early because of lack of cars and fans in the stands. But they are givin the chance to bring in more cars and fans with Tri City not running but yet make this decision. Not a very wise business decision. I really doubt a regular at belleville will be mad and not want to come back next year if they didnt line up by points. I myself would rather have fun racing against a full field of cars rather than 12. I am sure the fans would rather see a full field out there too.

So all in all a very bad decision. Will this keep me away this week? Nope. Do i like this? Nope. But i love racing so i will be there to do just that.

I thought we were going to a racetrack friday night not a charity event with government like handouts. We are still racing for 1st-20th so let the field be decided by racing. I truly hope some changes that have been expressed on this site are taken into consideration for next year. Belle-clair is such a fun track to race would hate to see the same situations arise in the future (car count & attendance) and it seems like theres alot of people that want to see this track flourish and that really do care now matter how negative it sometimes sounds.

Well i was going to bring a few hornets from tricity but chances arnt very high to come from 13th starting spot and winning on that small of a track with that little of laps. I guess we will just go to brownstown.

Why are the Sportsman, Pure Stocks&Pro 4, with top 12 locked in, and the Late Models & Modified, with the top 6 in points? Lets stay consistant, you wonder about car count? Will one eyed jacks in the ho;e only be wild???

Ok i have another question in regards to the way that they will be lined up and or locked in. I will use myself as an example in the situation. I am 16th in points right now. If 4 of the cars in front of me in points dont show up then does that mean i am "locked" into the feature?

smallBRAIN28: maybe if you love yur track so much youda run all season instead of 3/4s or whatever you said. The drivers that set a goal this winter most likly dont care what you think and dont feel sorry for ya. If you had earned a spot in the top 5 for champiobnship night I garantee you wouldnt be b****ing. Maybe you wouild like highland or somewhere else better, but they line up by points also.

If you posted that thinking i would get offended and have a war back and forth you are wrong. Actually kinda put a smirk on my face to see that you are so bent out of shape over my posting. Thanks!

But here are some answers to statements you made. I have not raced a full season this year at Belleville because i put together a pure stock to have some fun with over the winter. Well then fell into a good deal on a trade for another sportsman. Ran that a couple night and sold it after a wreck in Pevely. Awhile after that i was given the chance to drive the 44 car at Belleville and have been since. So thats why i have only ran about 3/4's of the season at Belleville this year. For the past "x" amount of years i have run a full schedule at Belleville.

Would i still complain if i were in the top 5 in points? You bet i would. In fact i have for the past couple years now. I am not looking out for myself but looking out for the track itself. I dont want to see Belleville go anywhere. So i voice my opinion on what i feel is the best and as we have seen many others agree to. But then some disagree and thats why they are called opinions. If you would read all my posts you would see that my arguement isnt about me looking out for myself but for me stating what i think is the right thing for the track to do to bring in more cars which in turn bring in more people to the stands which means making more money. Something the track hasnt made alot of this year. Why would i want someone to feel sorry for me?

And no i will stick to Belleville instead of Highland. Hometown track and love racing there. Just dont agree on some of the decisions here lately.

BTW never claimed that i was the brightest cookie so maybe i do have a "smallbrain".....:)

It seems the officials are damned if they do and damned if they don't. I like the decision.......But I'm just a fan.
Have a good week
Adam

To all the everyone complaining about Belleville and AARA

Your suffering is almost over...only one more night to Pi$$ and Moan about BC, AARA and Pig in a Poke...after Friday night this will all be history. Next year only the strong tracks with deep pockets will survive (TCS and I-55). Then you can move on, regroup and prepare to Pi$$, Moan and Beach about them too.

Nuff said!!!
