Belleville Done For The Year!!!

Just wanting to know how your gonna shut the doors on your dedicated teams and fans...There is several teams in the hunt for the championship! Having such close points in a few classes and allowing the teams to bust ass all week getting geared up for championship night and possibly a title to only have the door slammed in their face the night before! That's a cowardly move no matter the situation and I hope you guy's lose sleep over your poor management! How does this leave the team's that are dedicated to your track thinking over the winter? Drag me through the mud if you like but shit what just happened to every team that busted their butt this yrs and poured every penny plus blood sweet and tears in their operation! Boy I tell yeah!!!

I would think that Don didn't cancel to piss anyone off or to screw people...Running that track and competing with Tri-City would of drove me insane...or I mean more insane  I would think if Gundaker was given the reigns at I-55 then Highland would struggle a lil bit too...Kevin is a natural Genius with what he has done over there

mudface, I agree. I don't think Donnie did this to upset people. I'm not sure if competing against Tri-City had a lot to do with it. They've competed against each other for how many years now? But I think what has most people upset is the timing. With several points races in the air this was bad news for those teams I know we were getting ready for the modified make up race when the news came in. Although we are not in the points race I understand people getting upset. I hope there is nothing more serious going on. Remember at this time last year the tracks very existence was in doubt. I hope Donnie and Joe can put something together for next year.

I know the timing is what bothered me. I had plans to bring new people and their kids, and was going to contribute to the Kids Night. Not mad, just disappointed, because I appreciate everything Don has done. Just wished this announcement had been made a few days earlier. Oh well, off to tri-City tomorrow night.

WOW!! Nothing seems surprising with Bell-Vegas.The last minute announcement without a real legit reason given.I'm sorry but this is a slap in the face of the loyal race teams, not to mention us fans.A lot of unkept promises.JMO

When it's over it's over if you reach in your pocket an only feel your leg there is only so much you can do I don't know about you guys but its happened to me so it is what it is I wouldn't take it personally if I was you guys if it wasn't for Don and Al this deal would have been done a couple years ago

I thought all UMP featured races have to be made up . They still had a mod feature to run .
I bet the drivers that were in the front row aren't real happy .

as one who promoted several races and many swap meets and car auctions over the years, won on some got killed on others--the promoter is at the wim of the racers and fans--they don't show you loose---I would have liked to see a statement on stlracin---what about he rest of the year???? JMO

No one should be surprised by this. It's getting harder and harder as every year passes to keep the doors open not only for the tracks but, race teams as well. I'm not going to sit here and say the track will or won't open next year but, what I will say instead of being mad at Don you should stand up and applaud him for trying his azz off to keep the doors open. He was up against many odds to keep the gates open. The sport as we know is going to have to change or your going to see more and more tracks close and more and more teams close their doors. Yes there are some tracks that are doing ok but, the are a quite a few others that are not. I don't know what the answer is or who is at fault if anyone. Now I know I will have to hear from that jackazz dirt hound on how good the tracks he goes to are doing but, what he doesn't realize the sport is in trouble. i believe the first thing that needs to happen is to get rid of UMP. That's right dirt hound get rid of them and get a sanction body in there that can actually have some balls and make decision and stick with them instead of being so wishy washy.

Sorry they had to shut down for those that run there on regular basis, same at Brownstown having to cancel to. Looks like not as many cars as there use to be and two many tracks running Friday night that are to close together means that the car counts are not that great when all three are running. Would be surprised if in the future one or two close or one of them switch to a different night. Once again wish that all are friday night tracks could have ran..

Well I hear that i-55 will add b-mods to the menu next year.......gratz to the b-mods if its true
